• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I ordered the trunk lid rack from Cruiser Customizing in June. Shipment was delayed until 7/23, and today, it was delayed for another month. Says something is REALLY wrong, so my order was killed.

Thought I might share with any others looking at this rack. To me, it was the best looking, and suited my needs. However, I won't need a rack in December….

to bad all around..you lost time and they lost a sale. Wonder what the problem was. Some wait till they have a decent order before sending into production but not the best way to do business..go for option number 2 if you have one, if not happy shopping..!! :thumbup:

In all likelihood it is a matter of them building them when they have enough orders to do a batch. Small manufacturers frequently have their products batch produced by small job shops. If the shop is busy with something else, or is not running that coloer or metal right then, there are delays. It can be disappointing, but that's what happens with limited production vehicles and accessories. Sometimes it takes great patience to get the goody you want.

That's probably the case, but they need to tell that to their customers, not move the shipping date by a month three times. The truth might have kept my order...

They probably didn't have a clue until their supplier told them. Unkept promises by suppliers can drive a manufacturer nuts.
 
I ordered one also. :yikes: Thanks for update. My ship date was 8/3. Hope it come on time because I ordered a couple of other items along with rack and I need it by the end of September Nice rack but if I don't get the rack, it does no good. :banghead:
 
Supply chain dynamics can be a real :cus:. Unfortunately, the customer suffers a bit when that happens. I have a problem when a product is not available for months at a time--to me--that equals manufacturer problems.

As Bob implied--the back story on this one might be interesting, before we go after the wrong person(s).
 
My refund went to the bank yesterday, ordered it inApril. I wrote about it on SL somewhere last week. They never acknowledged any of my emails and yes, something is missing in the service equation. Ordered another, it's a ShowChrome product, and supposedly it'll be here this week from Value Accessories.
They, ShowChrome, have made racks for Goldwings and other for several years.
