• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Finacial Concerns

The BRP company created a product which I truly enjoy. They sell it to lots of naturally happy people. They sell it to lots of people who become happy as a result. Unfortunately the sell it to a few nabobs.

Thanks

:agree:
Sounded to me like the thread opener was just showing some info and everyone turned it around as if he was flaming the company? :dontknow:

:agree: I understood the OP to be indicating that there was no need to be worried about BRP's financial stability. Even though he was wrong about his info (and he admitted it), I didn't see it as flaming.

Thanks SNOOPY and Rid'nrandy you are both correct. I'am sorry that my intensions where so greatly missed and in the future I'll watch what I say a lot closer. I believe that Bombardier is a very good company and have proven them selfs over the years to be just that. Bombardier created BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products) and they make some great equipment. The Can-am Spyder happens to be one of those products. I happen to love my Spyder and have enjoyed every minute with it. When one considers that the Spyder is less the ten years old and in most cases would still be concedered in development, it is a really nice machine with a great future. My intention was to point out that Bombardier had just made two great deals for a lot of money in a time when most companies where just getting by. That shows a lot of trust in a company to make those type of sales. I read a lot of discontent on this site about the Spyder and some of the problems that people have had. I'm sorry those people have had those thing happen. In time I'm sure that the Spyder will become one of the better motorcycles on the market, but to get there it takes time and money. So once again, sorry for the miss understanding.;)

John:

please accept my apologies. I misunderstood your post.

:dontknow: "With the problems that people seem to have with their :spyder2: not sure that they would want to fly on one of there jets." :dontknow:
A better explanation of this statement might be in order... ;)

Let it go, Bob. Having flown airplanes for 35 years and having purchased a 2013 RT, my first thought was a CHUCKLE! You can take that statement tongue-in-cheek, ya know! ;)

You're probably right...

I have recently said that lately whenever you state an opinion, there are always those that jump on with the opposite idea. I seem to be the one that used the word flame--and look how many have jumped on to make their points.

Based on what I said at the time--I was only agreeing with the first 10 posters or so. As the thread wore on, it seemed to take a 180 degree direction from the first post. I also picked up on the never fly in a Bombadier plane--so it looked like some negative information to me.

I will NOW agree that the OP seems to not have intended the post to go the way it did. But--I am not going to change my original post. You are all entitled to your opinions and that is what is great about the SL site.

...Another glass of wine; please?
