• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Was wondering if anyone out there has the "Active Base Layer" shown on page 28 of the BRP catalog. Does it really do as advertised and keep you warm in cool weather, and cool in warm weather? If not, can anyone recommend a good base layer that would do that?

We get our base gear from the Bass Pro shop. Wide selection, several brands, including Under Armour. These people understand layering, and dressing for a day outside.

I use stuff from a place called LD Comfort. They've been doing under layers for years and they're stuff works well for me.

I started looking into this, and asked for (and got) a pair of the LD Comfort riding shorts for my birthday . . . I've worn them on both 80+ degree days we've had so far this year, and love them . . . my butt and other associated equipment stayed very dry for both 100+ mile rides . . . I'm getting more. I also tried out DryMax socks, and they worked as advertised, too . . . ain't technology great?

I have two different ones but have only worn the The Thermal Base Layer so far as it has been cooler. It works well to keep you warm. Looks like I have the ultralight and it is thinner and I intend to wear that one if/when it ever warms up around here.

Not sure about the active one... though I had that one but turns out I have the other two.

Yes.

Other alternatives have already been stated. I will suggest anything "Dry Fit". Under Armor, Nike, etc. I prefer the Nike, but that's nothing big. I also wear long sleeved shirts under my mesh jacket, which works really well when the weather turns.

Any of it works really well, except the Freeze Out stuff works really good in cold weather, but I wouldn't want to wear it in hot.
