There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. brp cares

At around 2:00PM the OP created this thread with a legit beef.
He could not communicate with the person at BRP whom he believed could help him.

Hope I used whom correctly.

Amongst the usual bashing and negative posts were some that offered some useful information.

The OP took the initiative and followed through.
At 6:00PM his issue was on its way to a resolution.

Maybe shaking your fist and yelling at the sky isn't the best way to get BRP's attention.

:agree:
And "dnd": I'm glad to hear that you finally found the right bike for yourself...Wave to us, when we pass by you!

Love your other bike, ok

DND I am glad that you have found a bike that you are settled on. I am disappointed that you had a bad experience with the Spyder. :spyder:

All of that being said, I remember that my grandfather always and forever drove Impalas, he had a particularly bad one in the 60's but he continued to buy them, call him an idiot if you wish. I had a real problem for a long time with a Buick, it would just quit running, perhaps at highway speed and allow me to just drift to a stop, it might be 50 miles maybe 260 but it would happen, this went on for a year. Eventually they found it and fixed it. :2thumbs:

This does not mean that there are not many people who are satisfied and running with few problems. Yes, I am one those that you don't want to hear from, tough noogies to you, I am vocalizing it anyway, go ride your Yamaha, I don't care.

In a recent manufacturers meeting they reminded us that it was a standard for decades that if someone is unhappy with a product they tell 25 others, if they are happy they tell two others, but times have changed, now if they are unhappy they can tell 20,000 people in 30 seconds, you are one of those.:chat:
Sinc you settled on another product, good for you, now take your negativity elsewhere.:yikes:

This site is very constructive in general but it is also dangerous as one could focus on the people with problems while overlooking the quiet ones or the many people enjoying a good product. Frankly I would not even write this post if you had not said you don't want to hear from the liars that say they are happy, go pound salt, big guy. I have the right to praise the product more than you have to be here when you don't even want or own one.:banghead:

I always try to maintain my cool. Sometimes it is hard, but I want to thank all of you that jumped in with the helpful contact info and thank Steve and his Team. At brp cares for jumping on this problem this morning. I have had four contacts via email this morning and my dealer has had two phones calls as well and it appears a fix will happen a lot faster than anticipated! BRP does care!

IMO anyone that thinks that BRP doesn't read these post and when the heat reaches a certain level will take action, is a fool. There are too many problems that the heat didn't reach that threshold.

No doubt problems and negative experiences are posted more than happy, warm and fuzzy experiences. There is another fact, for every negative post, there are 10 that never were posted, mainly because those people just accept the problem will never be fixed. My GF is one of those, of course it drives me nuts. At least "don't ask don't get" is another fact.

Hard to get a hard boiled egg with out a lot of heat!

Sometimes you are just driven to the point where you have to be a squeaky wheel to get the grease! I am going through that now with the rear shock trying to get BRP to replace it. Dealerships are a big part of the issue as well. They are not very educated on Spyder issues and are not there to support you when there are issues. All they want to do is sell and have little if any customer service.

I have the replacement shock on my f3s, the dealer got it for me early and put it on. we still occasionally bottom out. I don't think it is the answer yet, but can live with it as it is a lot better than the original.:thumbup:

Maybe there is a reason that on the last really nice Sunday ride I only say one other Spyder on the road.

I just got done typing a twenty minute pm to steve at brp cares about my down and out 2015 f3s with spline and pulley issues. wanted to let him know I was disappointed with being without a ride with busy planned weeks ahead for trips and prepaid reservations at campgrounds (non refundable) etc. etc. only to find out that brp doesn't accept pm's!!! now I have to let him know this way that I just found out the pulleys and splines are on back order!!! what does that say??? "there are a lot of f3's with the same issue," or "they have pulled the parts because they are the issue?" can't believe that there aren't pulleys and splines in manufacturing that could be shipped if the parts were ok.!! would like to hear from you as to how long i'm going to without a ride!!nojoke
Dam that sucks sorry to hear that

Yeah, sometimes on a long thread it can be a bit of a drudgery to read through it all, but if you are inclined to answer the original post it's worth doing it. Your thoughts quite often have already been expressed by someone else. Saves you having to post it.

Thanks for the contact info posted above.
I have tried to use it to send my concerns about an issue I have had since the day brought my Spyder home.
Oil leak.

I always wave at Spyders as I also wave at other makes, even scooters. I still have fond memories of my 2 Spyders. Kinda like an a friendly divorce in that you still have some good memories of your ex wife but inside you know that splitting up was the only option.

I usually don't reply to blowhards such as yourself "Buckeye" but I have to correct the record. I called NO ONE a liar. Your reading comprehension is lacking to say the least. Yes you have the right to praise the product but no more than I have the right to be here. You might want to read rules for posting because I'm pretty sure it doesn't say that one has to be a current owner in order to make posts. I have been a member of this forum for a few years and although I haven't made a lot of posts I do pop in from time to time to see what is going on in the world of Spyders. The great majority of time I read some posts and do not reply or make a post. I will continue to occasionally come by in order to keep up with what's going on and will not be deterred by the likes of someone who barks at anyone who does not agree with him with a comment like "...go pound salt, big guy." Sound familiar?

Steve at BRP has helped me a couple times..Once at Spyderfest and once afterwards...I am in the customer service business myself, and I know when someone truly cares, and he does...He can only do so much...In the car business,we say we can only repair them the best we can,we can't redesign them in the field...BRP is lucky to have Steve..
