• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake failure light

I have a 2014 RT-S and today I was riding and a brake failure light came on. It switched from a message to changing the entire screen to orange with the message. It lit up like the parking break was set when it wasn't. It did NOT effect the ride. I stopped at a light and shut off my bike and then re-started it. That did not help. Then I pulled into a park, shut down the bike and left it for 5 minutes. When I restarted it the error was gone? Any ideas?

Double check your fluid they are hyper sensitive & only a teaspoon low can trigger warning:gaah:. Other than that it is park & wait 20-30m with key a good distance away, helps let system reset. Cycle the park brake & see if you can hear it engage & disengage. Continued problems get to dealer:thumbup:

Were you pointed downhill when it first came on? When the entire screen had the message it likely said low brake fluid in the upper left side of the screen. Top off the fluid and have your pads checked. The brake light indicator was on steady which indicates the malfunction, when the light flashes that indicates the parking brake is engaged.

Agree with Spyder Ann. If you were on a hill, AND the fluid is about a teaspoon or so low, the warning light can go on. An easy fix--if that is the situation.
