• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake failure message and no fluid from ABS and the rear caliper, any ideas?

I have a 2020 RTL with about 9000 miles on it. I started it, and I have a brake failure message. I checked that the brake fluid is full, I've tried to bleed the brakes, and both front calipers have brake fluid, but the ABS and the rear caliper do NOT have any fluid coming out.
Any ideas?

When you did the rear and ABS, in which order did you do them, and how are you doing it - speed bleeders, vac pump, or pump and hold? Is there fluid in both cups, to the top?

Is the brake reservoir completely full? If it's ever so slightly down, it will send a trouble light signal. However, I doubt that's your problem since you've said there is no fluid coming out of the rear caliper.

Also, it's not possible to bleed the ABS module without a BUDS hooked up. You'll need someone to help who has access to a BUDS programmed computer so you can statically activate the module.

Shawn Smoak mentioned in one of his recent you tubes that the rear reservoir feeds the front brakes and the front reservoir feeds the rear. Be sure you are checking the correct reservoir.

Are You still looking for answers for your problems?

A very strange story. And not enough information to do much more than guess. I hope he comes back with either a fix, or more details.
