Those pictures are great. I like the one where Seth is looking at the girl with pigtails I can hear him saying "seriously". And the one of him on the flats looks like he is riding in the clouds. Very cool.

Here Seth is pretending not to notice the hot chick behind him. She smoked his ass on the salt. She set a new record at 146mph on a Honda 650.I think he was saying "So... ya come here often?" ... ;-)
Dang that salt buildup is nasty-- WOW!
Hey Seth she spells her name KARINA. I can only help so much, man. That chick is carina and she set a record on that bike, im soooo sick of drivin and not bringing home a record for spyderlover sucks ,275 miles to dirt town and then to work
Hey Scotty working the Pit Crew is just as exciting as riding. We have lots of work to do to get Seth up over 130. Maybe you should join us with your:thumbup: I am jealous! I have wanted to run the Flats since I was a boy. Never happened...never will. Sure did enjoy the pictures, though. My hat is off to all of you.

Great set of pics Seth.left wendover at 1345 monday, got to dirt town at 1900 tuesday, thanks a TON to Larry for co-piloting the death trip, I will remember to turn the radio off when I am driving.
Bruce was the main man for the tech support I can not say enough about the TEAM OSBURNSEN tech crew, I could not have done half the runs with out you to and all the spyderlover support.
here is the link to the pics I have, they are on the bottom, got to sleep for a 2 hours and go to work, What a misadventure. I should have grabbed doc aerocharger, DAMN IT, thought about this on the ride home. We are going out and teching on monday and racing tuesday and wednesday, if I am still around by next August, funny thing about that, one of the workers recognized me for my 09 run and said "I thought you would have died by now" sometimes its feels great to disappoint.

Great set of pics Seth.
I enjoyed being your tech guy. Let's do it again next year:thumbup:.
GO team osburnsen:clap:
Most of my videos are crap. I need ti find some good video editing software then I may post a few.for sure, thanks again for all the pics and help. It would be cool to see those videos you and larry made.
Hey Seth, I have come to one conclusion...That rear tire is floating up on the salt when you get up to speed. Then it cannot get traction and it begins to spin. I think this is why you don't throw a rooster-tail until you are up to 100mph or so. We need to figure how to reduce the area of rubber in contact with the salt. I think turbocharging will not help. IMHO
Thinner motorcycle style tires. Also what about getting rid of the front fenders, shorter windshield, and either folding back or taking off the mirrors.
I don't think a turbo will work here. Without a change in gearing you will still have red-line issues and wheel spin problems.weight on the swing arm my friend and some power somewhere, i was just thinking I should have got that turbo from doc because he was down at the time and money was/is a issue. I agree that the spin is a issue.
the mirrors I have to get something to plug into them because if I unplug them then it will go into limp mode if I am not correct please tell me, the front fenders were going to go but I was in a debate with the wind grabing the tires tread or creating turbulence because they are missing, the same with the windshield missing would be less aerodynamic.
Can am if you are reading this and want a can am in the record books to thumb it at the AMA (which was a huge debate out there) then GIVE ME the tools to get a record and I will win it for you, not breaking 120 is embarrassingly slow, a spyder with the right tires, engine and gearing should break at least 170, it handles great at straight speed, hell I drive mine the way I do and have the balance of a toddler.
:agree: For this kind of assault, any money would be best spent on gearing...even if it means custom sprockets. The drag issue would be difficult and expensive to improve, but the A-frames need to go. Fender skirts could be a help. Not sure what the rules allow. Very difficult to work around the horsepower issues without an ability to do custom mapping and change the ignition timing. It would need work in those areas to go over 130. Very difficult nut to crack, but it is a challenge worth chasing.I don't think a turbo will work here. Without a change in gearing you will still have red-line issues and wheel spin problems.
I don't know how the fender issue will work. We will have to look at turbulence around the wheels.
Removing the mirrors is a good idea. I CAN MAKE SOME PLUGINS TO REPLACE THE LAMPS.
I CAN ALSO FABRICATE SOME REPLACEMENTS FOR SPEED SENSORS so we can Dyno this thing.
The main problem, as everybody knows is DRAG. Everything on the bike that changes the direction of the air flow will require energy. need to reduc e drag That loss of energy what we call DRAG. Drag increases with the SQUARE of velocity. To go from 50mph to 100mph increases the drag by a factor of FOUR.
We need to reduce drag then change the gearing so that redline gives us 130mph or so.
We have a year. You should join us, Scotty.:agree: For this kind of assault, any money would be best spent on gearing...even if it means custom sprockets.
