• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bonneville 2011

Cowtown maintenence

I am in Bartlsville, OK visiting my Kinfolk. I left Cowtown about 1:00. I swear the more I work with those Cowtown folks the more I like the way they do business. For those of you wondering what they charged for the tire change.
$149.99 cost of tire
28.40 Ride On Sealant
75.00 Labor
Total $253.39
They also found that my rear bearing was about to fail so they replaced it. I also had them install a Green Air Filter. They also checked my brake pads.
All this and they still only charged $75 Labor.
While I was waiting for my work to be finished I had the opportunity to see why this is such a great operation. I saw Len spend more than a half hour with a guy who wanted to buy a T-shirt. He was not happy with the size and he did not like the color but Len stuck with him and worked things out until the customer was satisfied. I wonder what the profit margin was on that T-shirt? But the guy walked away happy and if he ever gets around to buying a Spyder I bet he'll be back to Cowtown.
When I return from my trip to Bonneville I will stop in Cuba and let them do my oil change. Too bad they are 700mi from my home otherwise they would be my first and only choice for maintenance. When it comes time to purchase a new Spyder, guess who will top my list of possible dealers?

I get almost all of my parts thru them and they are the gold standard, its about 900 miles from my house to cowntown and they are legit. I can't say enough about how great they are, that is where I got all my stuff for the flats from. Len makes them go faster and has some of the best sales mentality I have ever seen.

To Bonniville

I am in Bartlesville, OK touring the Tall Grass Prairie. Here are a couple pics from the adventure.

time crunch, found out my front sprocket needs replacing
and I that the 2 front tires I thought were new in my garage were NOT new. Wanted to run them because with the tread they would have the last amount of surface area. Got to cut the fenders or take them off, if you take them off and do not have the running lights hooked up does it limp mode out?

Oh, Oh, I hope you make it. I am in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. I plan to take the scenic route to Salt Lake City through Heber Canyon, tomorrow. I have reservations for the 26th in Wendover. Hopefully see you there.

If you disconnect the lights you could run the wire back into the front trunk and just hook the light up and leave it in the trunk.
