Looks great! How long has ESI had it in stock? Didn't see it when I looking for a new exhaust.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For a couple of months now!!!:2thumbs: Has been on my machine for well over a year now testing it.

Considering the O2 mod enriches the mixture-- I doubt any MPG gains are coming from it.
It's a performance mod - not a MPG mod. Just don't want anyone expecting increased MPG from it. I sure as heck didn't gain any MPG from it--- but didn't want to or expect to. I'll gladly give up 2 mpg for better off the line performance.:thumbup:
Probably ordering an HMF this week as they are one of the only that can come in black/carbon fiber. I like some of the other options out there-- but hate the look of a 'shiny' exhaust can.

No! Did exhaust first. Than new plugs, 02 sensor and new Honda "Y" gaskets, about a week later.
It ran a lot better after having all the codes cleared and updates done after installing the new dps, when I picked it up.

I got the Hindle installed yesterday and I expected a bit of a lower running temperature. It didn't. I rode home in 99 degree heat at 70 MPH on the highway and still hit 5 bars occasionally cooling down to 4.
Disappointed. Looks and sounds good though.
Installing the missing air dam this evening. Maybe that will allow me to run a little cooler.
Never liked running at 5 bars at 70 MPH. I would think that would be enough air even at 99 degrees to keep the temperature down. Oh, well.

I put on an aftermarket muffler. Compare the aftermarket and factory muffler, the factory muffler does give me more MPG than the stock.

I've tried a few different exhasts and this is the one I like the best. Very happy with my Yoshimura RS-3 Oval. I also like the TRS Tri version. Great sound and fairly loud when you ride it hard. Not that loud when you ride easy. I like a pipe that you can live with in long distance cruise mode. This pipe does not drone or annoy at crusing speed.
It also has a noise reducer insert (which I use) so it can be louder if you want.
I've run this over 10,000 miles and it's holding up very well. It also comes in Stainless and Titanium versions.
The Micron sounds great, very cheaply built and won't last, it is louder than the Hindle and the Yoshimura.
The Hindle is well made, sounds great and is louder than the Yoshimura but quieter than the Micron.
The 2 Bros. is louder than the Hindle, Yoshimura and Micron. Not sure it is as well made as the Yoshimura or the Hindle.
The HMF sounds great, is louder than the Hindle and the Yoshimura. About like the Micron, is well made and should last.
The Kewl Metal pipe that Doc used to run is just that, a pipe only, it is offensively loud (except to Doc who just enjoys a good aggravation). It should last forever since there is nothing to go bad.
I also like this one. Basically it's the same can but with a triangle shape instead of the oval I'm running.

Ron do you have a part # for your exaust i can't seem to find it on line, Also your statement about the Micron not lasting is true mine literaly fell apart on the highway Sunday [lost part of it] now i am back to stock :gaah: Or does anyone want to sell a Hindle?

Had a Micron, looks great, sounds great, piece of junk. But hey! It was fun while it lasted!
The 18" part number for the RS-3 - CRRS3186W
The 20" part number for the RS-3 - CRRS3206W
All you need is the muffler. All of the S/O kits come with a mid pipe but the cans are all the same. If you can get just the can you might be able to get it for less. But if you have to buy the kit with a Mid-Pipe just get the cheapest one you can find as the cans are all the same. The different part numbers have to do with the mid-pipe application.
The RS-3 is made for off road use. Maybe that is why it holds up so well.

The ESI looks sweet and the price looks really good (compared to the Hindle anyway, nothing else to compare to yet). Any need for commander changes? what kind of sound does it give. I don't like too loud. 've been looking at replacing my stock muffler with a Himndle (at least up until now)

There are probabaly more good exhaust options for the Spyder than any other motorcycle on the market because all you need is the 90 and just about anything out there will mate up after that.
Come to Lamont's BBQ and you'll be able to see and hear just about any combo you could possibly want.
We could have an exhaust look/sound contest! Just line up, rev up and let people vote! :yes:

I was looking at a hmf i found on ebay. Then i figured that Lamont's bbq is only a couple weeks away :clap: and i should wait. I would like to hear the SPX from No Magic

Poor Doc, he had to make a choice. Turbo or Trauma Pipe.
The Turbo won out but I'm sure he longs for the days when he had his assault pipe on.
