What is the best way to hardwire a Garmin XT2 to a 2026 Can Am Spyder S2S?

Looking to get a Garmin XT2 and I would like to know the best way to do this. I have had a Garmin on all three of my Gold Wings and want to stay with that type of system. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

There is already a canned plug for powering a GPS, and there are some aftermarket kits that allow you to tap into that plug for several other accessories. I did this on my '24 RTL. The the plug is down near the ECU, and I made the mistake of coiling up the excess wire from the Garmin mount. This never caused a problem until I later bought the remote key pad for the XT2. It would not always be recognized on power up of the XT2. I ended up using a self make power tap that was run direct to the battery but triggered by that canned connector and I cut off the excess cable to reduce the amount of noise in the power line (probably from the ECU). Solved all my issues.

First, what is the model of your Spyder? It looks like there is a 2016 Spyder ST-S model, but I don't see that model for 2026?

My 2024 Spyder RT has an accessory power port on the front right side under the panels.
I added a docking station that was wired into that power port. It has a ball mount on top that was perfect for a Garmin mount, and then I plugged the Garmin into one of the USB port.s

That same dock fits 2026 Spyder RT and RT-L models.
The link to the instructions show how to remove the body panels to get at the accessory power port. Step 7 shows the port.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will need to remove some Tupperware to locate the plug/hook up. Knowing it’s on the right side and I hope it will call it out when I get that far. Removing Tupperware is not an issue just making sure I have the correct plug/wires.
Again thanks
