• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are your CB transmissions clear??

grounding is definitely the culprit it seems. too much plastic. the cb module is mounted to the plastic side bags area. I think most bikes the CB module is mounted to the frame. upgraded cb antenna to the J&M CB antenna. its nicer but did not fix problem.

got some improvement (reduced noise in transmission by say 25 to 305%) by grounding out the CB Module case itself! next step I need to do is check the grounding points (that EZ ED) mentioned nojoke

got the upgraded grounding straps and supposedly better shielded CB antenna cable (covered by BRP warranty). but that did not help. only grounding the cb module made a difference. hope to find some lose grounding points to get me further cleared up. definitely feed back from transmission or engine as it occurs as others say only when moving.

I am not a fan of reducing my transmission strength to LX local. why cant I run full strength?

Thanks, and keep us posted.

saw those before but you can not install that on the OEM antenna base. you would need to upgrade to the J&M antenna and then replace their antenna with the firesticks. the J&M is supposed pretuned for SWR out of the box. but like I said it did not fix our noise problem.

interesting reading on the 1st link ... thanks

Just ordered from Amazon . com a SWR meter which included the short jumper cable to see what the SWR actually is. ran about $31 shipped ... so maybe next weekend will check the SWR.

Honestly, wasn't the firestick that interested me, though I have used them in the past. Actually hoped something they have experienced and written about would be helpful.

Keep us posted

I have to be honest I havent even figured out how to use it yet so I cant comment on the clarity but will give it a try this weekend LOL
