• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone found an A/mkt Replacement CB Antenna?

My CB antenna broke after strong wind tore off cover. Without buying xtra parts I don't need has anyone found a replacement CB antenna that will screw onto existing mount? I only need the antenna not a mount, grounding strap, ctc. Why does BMP not sell just the screw on antenna?

Take the bottom of your broken mast to a large well stocked Truck stop such as Love's and try and match bases. Or go to a radio shop (short wave/ CB) if you have one in your area and see what you can find. Also remember you will have to tune the new antenna to your radio,so you will need to find someone with an SWR meter, probably at the same shop. Good luck.

If you can't find one at your local truck stop, check Sierra Electronics. https://www.sierra-mc.com/

I installed one of their mounting blocks and antenna on my wife's RT-S last year. The antenna appears to be a standard one that you would find at a truck stop, but it is thinner, which would be less wind drag.

We are fortunate that they are only about half an hour from us, but they ship everywhere.

Steve is right about Sierra Electronics. They are very helpful and very knowledgeable. I have dealt with them any times in the Yamaha Venture days.

As far as tuning your antenna you could try the local ham radio club. Someone in the club will have an swr meter.
