Anyone fitted an Apple Carplay dongle to make '24 ACP Wireless to iPhone?

Hi. Has anyone fitted a USB dongle on the 2024 Spyder? So that Apple Carplay becomes wireless to your iPhone?

If so, any pics, and advice on which one to buy would be cool. THANKS

I have a CarlinKit 5.0 Wireless CarPlay 2024 Apple Wireless CarPlay Adapter 2air for Wired CarPlay for my pickup and it works well when it’s connected. It connects only about 75% of the time - the rest of the time I have to fiddle with everything to get it to connect.

The only thing is that my pickup doesn’t require a headset for CarPlay to work, so that might be an obstacle on the Spyder?

Debating grabbing something so I don't have to keep my phone in the frunk... Just haven't found any real recommendations that say it works well with Can-Am or Spyder. That may be too much to hope for though, I may just have to randomly choose one and try it out.

Or contact the company and explain what you are trying to do, and ask them how to do it.

I'm playing on the assumption that Can-Am is deliberately trying to force the rider to have their phone out of reach in order to use CarPlay or they wouldn't have such a set up as they do. Assuming that, rightly or wrongly, I also assume they aren't going to actively assist me in bypassing their design?

I'm a little confused by this statement.

On my 2024 Spyder RT, in order to use Apple Carplay on the display, the iPhone has to be plugged into the USB port in the glove box in front of the handlebars, not in the front trunk.
There isn't even a USB port in the frunk on my Spyder.
There are USB ports in the top case, but they can only be used to charge something, not for the Carplay connection.

2024 F3 S here. No glovebox for the more sporty look... So the USB the iphone must be plugged into is in the frunk.

I tried my CarLinkIt and the Spyder does not recognize it. It always worked fine in my Jeep though that only had wired ACP.

Did you mean the CarLinkIt 5? If so, did you mess with any of it's settings? You can connect to the CarLinkIt through IP address and it has lots of compatibility settings to play with. One issue is that you may have to force the CarLinkIt to Carplay only, since the head unit only supports that and not Android Auto.

So, has anybody had successful luck in finding a dongle to work on the 24/25 Spyders and get maps with audio through bike speKers?

Does that mean you got it to work on your Spyder? I used Carlinkit 5 on my KIA and they have lots of settings for compatibility.

I have a '24 S2S and use a dongle (Zus brand) connected to USB in the trunk paired as Headset 1. Always works, can't say that for CarPlay over all. Pierre at Spyder Accessories has a nice little video using a dongle ILO of a headset.

A dongle plugged into the rear USB will allow ACP work on the display. However, you will not get audible noise unless using a headset. If you ride without a headset and want ACP maps with turn by turn directions on the display, then a cheap dongle is the way to go.
