• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Has anybody figured out a way to reset CarPlay while riding? (‘25 Canyon Redrock)

Has anybody figured out a way to reset Apple CarPlay while riding? Yesterday, my navigation display froze just after I started moving, twice… I had to stop, unplug, stop/start the bike to get it working again. (I have a ‘25 Canyon Redrock, iPhone 16, Cardo Packtalk Edge, & BRP Connect v3.x).

I’d like to be able to try a full reset before I pull over to reset (especially if I’m leading a ride!).

I updated the bike’s software today, and have new MFi certified cables on order. I’ll see if that helps the stability.

Thanks for any helpful comments!

Chris

A bit of time with Google suggests that the Canyon was released in Spring 2025.
The BRP Connect v3.10 was released in late 2024, so it's probably the original version that came on your Canyon.

You can connect your Canyon to a Wifi network and download software updates. I've done it several times for my 2024 Spyder RT.

Google says there was a 4.1.0 version released in 2025 that focused "...on improved Apple CarPlay stability...".

And Google also says the latest version is 5.0.0 which was released in Spring 2026.

Is the 5.0.0 version what you installed today?
And have you ridden since the udpate?

My bike would always lockup as well. I turned wifi off and that helped tremendously when first starting off but it would sometimes lockup during my ride. I wish you luck!

It looks like version 5.0.0 is for Ski-Doos, not on-road RT's. 4.1.0 is still the latest version as far as I can tell.

And I didn't pay enough attention to ChrisViking's post, so I owe an apology to everyone. :(

BRP GO! is an app that runs on your phone to establish communications with the BRP Connect app that runs on bikes with a 7.8" display.
The BRP GO/BRP Connect process was replaced by Apple Carplay with the 2024 models, so the BRP Connect version has nothing to do with Apple Carplay issues.

Thanks for the comments. I updated the BRP onboard software to v4.1 (the latest, the bike says). I’ll try this configuration and see how it does!

Thx
Chris

So of course I had to go check my 2024 Spyder RT to see if there were any updates available.
After connecting to my home Wifi network, I went into the Preference applet, chose General, and then Software update.
It displayed a message about connecting to my network, and then this is what showed up.
My Spyder is currently running BRP Connect V4.1.0, which is the latest version for it.

And of course I have to apologize for something I posted earlier, about BRP GO! and BRP Connect working on the older 7.8" displays.
BRP GO! is for the older bikes with the smaller displays, but BRP Connect is still the connection component that runs on the Spyder.

There’s a new version coming, not sure when it will be release but it’s coming, it will include I hope CarPlay improvements, and they say it will include android as well.

CarPlay sort of works, but I feel it’s like the Russian roulette, you never quite know what will happen. And yes, I have tried many start up versions and keep them for a while, most work most of the time, unlike any of the cars I have/own, which work 100000000% of the time! ;)
:
Our club at the Spring meeting in a little while will get a briefing from BRP about the system and any updates coming (or so they say... 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Google only finds references to software updates planned for the CAN-AM 4-wheelers, nothing noted for the 3-wheelers.
