• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This is a heavy duty model that will not blow around in your hand. Has really big numbers so you can dial while riding. Battery measures 12 inches x 6 inches and will last up to fifteen minutes!

No apps for this model as yet.

Looks like a 90's phone and 15 min is kind of short so I guess this would just be for retrograde looks.

Yes, I see....very sturdily built and fifteen whole minutes battery life...Wow! I'll take two!!

On second thoughts I'll pass.......does it come with a safety advisory about
not dropping it on your foot as serious injury may occur?? :roflblack:

Ah well, it is April!!

Yup - 40 years ago yesterday a guy in NYC made the first cellular call was made - and since then none of us have found any peace nor ability to escape! Jerk!

My wife wishes she could have her 3 watt bag-phone back. It was big and clunky, but got super reception and worked great.

When I was early in my AT&T career in the early 80s, an instructor explained a cellular network to us and said everyone would be using it. Didn't even believe it then.

FYI, a common misconception is that the term "cellular" refers to the phone being small. As you can see from the pic in this thread, that just wasn't the case. The "cells" are the octagon-shaped areas in a honeycomb pattern with each cell served by an antenna.

Interestingly enough CDMA which is what cell networks are mostly based from was created from Hetti Lamar. She is a hollywood actress that stared in Casablanca. She was trying to create a way for missiles to not have their frequencies jammed prior to the US entering WWII

Actually, I like your sun visor for your gps. Where did you get it? Or did u make it yourself ?
