There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Airflow Through 2014 RT Stock Windshield

I was just wandering what the lucky new owners think about the stock windshield on the 2014 RTs. Seems that in cold weather you would get too much unwanted air and in wet weather you would get unwanted moisture through the vents since there are no vanes to close them. I'm hoping to get the call from my dealership any day now that my new 2014 RT Limited is on a truck headed this way and trying to decide if I want to invest in the BRP adjustable vented windshield or maybe the F4 vented windshield. Any thoughts?

Well..!!

hope you get to find out for yourself soon. In the end you will have to decide if it's worth the investment...

its a low end stock windshield , i spent 360 smackers on an F4 Windshield (tinted) with the vent, quality product not flimsy, lifetime arrant and SCRATCHPROOF

There are no vents on the stock windshield. I believe that you are looking at the vented windshield that is available from BRP. I had it on my 2013 and I never had any problem with getting rain in it. But then again I live in the desert.

Thanks SpyderAnn

I was wondering about that. When you look at the pictures on the Can-Am web site it shows the openings in the windshield on the RT, RT-S, and RT Limited.

I had the stock windshield with the cutouts (not vented) on my 2013 and now on my 2014 and i like it better than the closed (non cutout) windshield for several reasons

1) it eliminates any windshield buffer

2) prevents fogging on the windshield when passing through certain areas in the mountains

3) it gives you easier access for cleaning your windshield

overall i believe it is an improvement over the older stock windshield.

 None?

They had started putting those two small openings in the windshields for 2013... (The ones that lined up with the holes in the windshield mounting bracket)
Are they gone? :yikes:

Nope, they are still there Bob.

While some may not consider them 'vents', they are still there

The above pictured windshield is what was on the 2014 RT Ltd I looked at yesterday and was told that was the stock windshield.

On the Can-Am accessories page they list it as a vented windshield and in the description it states that it is the stock windshield for the 2013.

I'm sorry I didn't consider those cutouts as "vents" I have had both the stock with the cutouts and the BRP Vented windshield and I personally wouldn't spend the money on the Vented one.

If there's any way that you could get us a picture with some better lighting; it would be helpful.
Thanks!
