• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Added a new wheel today

Karen,
Thanks for yours and your husband's service. 24 years Regular Navy for my part. I met my wife in Sicily just prior to my retirement and she was a brand spanking new ensign fresh out of OCS. So, she has 17 years in as of this month with just a bit over five of them active duty and the rest as a reservist. She does not want a bike of her own and prefers to ride behind me for now -- I'm pushing to get her into a Rider's Edge Safety Course, though. Maybe I'll be able to get her up front then.

The ride seems quite different with the Spyder versus the Burgman. In some ways it feels a bit like my 4-wheeler, except a lot more stable and easier to steer.

My salesman just called a few minutes ago and said it may be up to three weeks before the bike is ready. The delay is getting the seat from Corbin. Plus, obtaining the matching trailer.

I am certainly going to have to get some real floorboards and highway pegs installed before any long trips are taken. I just have to figure out how to get my arthritic right leg across the bike without dragging it across the seat.

I highly recommend a test ride. We absolutely hated the sport version with manual tranny. Night and Dad difference between the RTS Limited and the sport model.
Regards,
Rich
The RT is outstanding for two-up riding, especially if you have physical problems. I still ride my bikes, but the only two-up work is done on the RT.

:welcome::congrats::ohyea::yes::bowdown:And thank you both for your service!

Just a quick note... When folks have physical items, it is best to sit on as many Spyders as possible that have Foot Pegs and floorboards. Like with many things in life one does not fit all and I have tried nearly all of them.

All I am suggesting is before you buy a set, try a few out. And Spyderfest is the best place on earth to try them all :firstplace::D:spyder2::doorag:

My salesman called this morning and told me they have the correct paint and material in stock to paint a trailer for me to match my Spyder. They say they have done this a number of times in the past since white trailers are difficult to obtain at this time. I will be inspecting it very closely.

Looks like 2.5 weeks wait for the Corbin seat, etc. to arrive, too.

Since we are in a weather pattern that is not conducive to riding it's no big deal to wait.
