• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RT-SE6

Hello everybody,
I've been hovering over these boards for sometime now. Life long motorcycle rider but all good things must come to an end. :(
I attended the local demo ride with my wife, here in San Mateo California and have settled on the 14 RT-SE6. This question probably directed to the California folks or at least those who have bought the 14 RT-SE6 in California. Everything is more expensive here. Anyhow, anyone venture to guess ballpark figure for said bike/roadster/trike? MSRP is $28,049 but I know enough, that is a fake number. Throw out your best guesses! I'm ready to pull the trigger but not get ripped off either.....
Thanks in advance.

:congrats: on deciding to take the plunge! :2thumbs:

Try to look at it this way:
It's not what you've got IN the bike that matters...
It's what you get OUT of it!:ohyea::yes:
Why not try looking through the accessory catalog; see if the dealer is willing to throw-in some "goodies", to help sweeten the pot? :D

I agree with Bob. I waited, analyzed, waited some more for two reasons. I am debt averse and I wanted to be sure I got the best "deal". If it was about value or functionality I would have gone down a different road. My Triumph was a lot less expensive than my BMW and some would claim that neither were "deals". I enjoyed them both just the same. Nobody wants to feel taken but at the end of the ride it will still put a smile on your face. It came down to getting a little bit more out of life and besides debt is the American way. Just doing my bit to prop up the economy. There are so many things I want to add I will be doing my best to support all the Spyderlover's vendors.

You guys are right. I want to keep riding somehow, so this is it. Dealer will throw in another $1000 on goodies.
Soon to be a Spyder guy! Thanks.

I guess the proper term is RTS-SE6? Anyway, order is in. Timeless Black of course, like every other bike I've had before! Could have it as soon as tomorrow and in time for a Mother's Day ride.

Same problem most of us face at some point or another, how to keep riding :ohyea::ohyea: I've had younger kids say "I'd just quit", but that's easier to say (especially when you're not facing the problem) than it is to do after you've ridden most of your life. :congrats: on your new :spyder:and may you ride it for many years in good health :D

Congratulations!

I'm really envious, I want a black RT-S but they don't offer it in the UK, only as a base RT :( .

Enjoy it.
