• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Friend concidering buying 2010 RT any advice?

You simply remove the four screws on the dash, remove the wires from both analog gauges (yes, you have to disconnect on either side) and voila, the digital display in the center will show you the fuel level. You do lose the temperature level on the right side, but that usually doesn't affect...

    Helmet Prices

Paul, That is correct and if you go to cycle gear now, they sell all the big name brands...from Rev'It to Spidi to Roland Sands and Alpinestars. They still sell the lower ends like Sedici to Bilt. And it doesn't matter if you use Revzilla's website, they have the same brand name gear and...

To cover or not to cover...

What about a temporary storage unit, at a facility that rents them for $100/month?...it's only for 3 months tops, and would keep that spyder dry, and out of the elements.

Happy belated birthday, Bob. May the next category treat you better.

Hmmmm, do a wear a jacket or not? Forecast is sunny and 78-degrees. Maybe even wear jeans this time.

    More tire S@#T

I haven't had it done yet...the laser alignment, or belt adjustment. The Spyder seems to be running fine, so I'll probably not worry about touching the belt (tension or alignment). With every thing I've done to the front end (Elkas 2 and BR Sway Bar) I want to go with the trifecta and have...

    SM6 vs SE6

Goldwing Reverse Trike Motor trike sells a conversion kit for the reverse trike...this was one that I saw in person and really liked it! Again, about $40k all said and done, but you have a gold wing between your legs.

Yokohama S. Drive rear 205-55-15 tire; Federal 165-55-15 Front tires F3/RT Spyders

Can you clarify your post...what is "RE003"? What is "TW tire"? Not sure if anyone else said, huh? But I didn't understand any of this.

    SM6 vs SE6

I test rode a F3 SM6 and it felt much quicker and more torquey than my '14 RTS-SM6. I still like having the clutch and control of the shifting...but I don't think it offers up any more power, like a standard shift automobile would. You have to test ride the F3, because it's lighter, you sit...

THE NAY-SAYERS ARE WRONG..... it IS a Motorcycle!

No, not a bike...since bike is a shortened slang word for bicycle. I think in the motorcycle community it should be called simply a spyder.

Spyder RT S vs Gold Wing

:agree::agree: My wife's gold wing trike, also a 2005, although by Motor Trike has a ton of storage...much greater than my RT. No way does the Spyder compare to the GW Trike storage. Now, I'm not sure how the new reverse trike conversion kit measures up...but I'm sure it's still more.

Spyder RT S vs Gold Wing

If you can't leave the gold wing (just love the wing), motor trike now offers a reverse trike conversion kit for the gold wing. It doesn't have all of the computer safety features that you find on the Spyder but from what I hear, it is an awesome ride, great handling, very responsive, and just...

    High Doller trash hauler!

I wonder if he gets a laser alignment done in the spring time, after messing up his front end like that. I don't think BRP had plowing in their calculations when designing the front suspension and frame.

    Helmet Prices

I found that the shoei rf-1100 helmets were very quiet, fit great, snell rated, and just very well constructed. Nothing is falling apart or looks worn...unlike my wife's speed and strength helmet which now is showing her age. Definitely personal preference, and I'm sure there are some great...

    Helmet Pads Cleaning.......

Hand wash only....air dry only. If you really work on the pads by massaging, squeezing or twisting, expect the pad to fit slightly different initially upon reinstallation. Almost having to stretch or retrain the fitment. At least that's what I experienced with my Shoei RF-1100. My darn...

    Sway Bar

I definitely noticed the twitchy behavior lessened with the Baja Ron sway bar installed. And that was very evident on the interstate next to other vehicles, passing by...as the stronger bar should help with such a thing. The other improvement I made was to add the Elka shocks to the front...

    New Spyder Owner

Not true with the head phone comment...no sir. Try the audio control for speaker fade...front versus back and make sure there is some set to the rear. If that doesn't work, try popping of the speaker box and seeing if it's a simple plug not connected to either side. Being a 2016, it has to...
