• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

June Trip to California- Staying Cool

Caffeinated beverages and alcoholic beverages are definitely not for hot riding conditions (coffee, beer, carbonated beverages). Both will dehydrate you faster. I have been a paramedic for 22 years and have seen all the ways some knucklehead can drink himself into dehydration while sitting in...

Installed SCALA Q2 headset and they work great!

What is the difference (if there is one) between the Scala Q2 Teamset and Scala Q2 Multiset ? Looking at the features, I don't see a big difference, but I see a big difference in price. Any reason to go with one over the other performance wise ? Amazon has the MultiSet for about $250 and the...

    HIndle exhaust

Not legal, but as it was said, it has the Can Am logo and it is on a Can Am bike, most law enforcement officers would not know it is not legal. I have had 2 state troopers sit on mine and crank it up and 2 local officers, one of whom I let take it around the parking lot. (get in good with the...

    Caliper trim kit

1000 miles on mine with the adhesive it came with. Was skeptical but seems to be holding fine ! I have the chrome and black handle bar inserts from Kuryakyn and the adhesive there seemed weak as well, but they are hanging on as well. They seem to be "tighter" now then when I first put them...

    learning to fly ;-)

:agree: I live down a veeeeeeery long drive way (about a 1/4 mile). My two girls love riding "3 up". At 8 and 6 there is plenty of room for both of them behind me with the back rest. They love it. Get's long on daddy, drive, turn around, drive, turn around. It's always "one more time"...

    Competition for the Spyder?

At the local college tailgating session last year saw one somewhat like this, but with four wheels. To compensate for his loss of cooler space, he was towing a "cooler" trailer. Pretty cool !

    sport rack breakage

Was going to put this in my tie down thread, but it is a seperate topic, so started a new thread. Went to take to "cover" off of the sport rack to put the back rest in and noticed that the bar where it clips onto to secure was broken. This is on the cover piece, not the sport rack itself...

    Tie downs

Any suggestions on tieing down a Spyder to a trailer for a road trip ? HAuling the Spyder to Panama City for Thunder Beach. Can't ride it due ot the inability to carry my bags, my scuba gear and my wife ! :sour: I am thinking of tie downs through the rims front and rear, but first time...

    HJC IS-Max Flip Face Helmet...

Hey Bone Crusher, when riding I can feel the air moving over my head from the front vents. Closing the top vent makes this go away, so it would seem the tops vents actually work ! Personally I don't think it is very noisy. go to: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/hjc/is-max/...

    First Service

I think the local cost here is $247 according to my saleslady. I thought it was high, but from speaking to others around the country, seems about right (I still think it is high !). Oh, and it was 84F yesterday ! :)

How do you clean your Spyder?

I use a mild auto detergent, soft sponge, then recently started to blow mine dry. Have a small blower that puts out quite a bit of volume. Has that thing mostly dry in a couple of minutes, then I wipe down what little is left with a chamois. I rinse it down to get the dust off every couple...

Be careful, do not buy from wingdreams.com

Same here. I found them on line while looking for accessories for my soon to be purchased Spyder. I had made a list of what I was going to buy from them. Then I found this site. In other hobbies I have been in, or am in, I always try to support the sponsors of the site because: 1. they...
