• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do not buy from this web site called wingdreams.com they also go by the name spydersnest.com, they are in Bellefontaine Ohio

On March 20th I placed an order with them three days later I got an email telling me my order was shipped but no tracking number so I called them, this is what I was told we do not have tracking numbers as we ship hundred's of boxes each day and don't get tracking numbers from UPS I told them if they can not give me a tracking number then I do not want items as I do not believe they shipped the items I was told no problem they will cancel the order. My credit card was charged, since then I have sent many emails and left many voice messages to ask when will they credit my card back and today I tried to call again and this time I got a recording saying that the party you are trying to reach is not accepting calls from this number meaning my number has been blocked. I have now called my credit card company and report this to them and as well send an email to the Ohio Attorney General Office and report this to the Ohio Consumer Protection Agency as well.

By the way what I ordered was two sets of the mirror extensions, which I have already gotten and have them installed thanks to No magic neon who ship it same day and I got it next day ( faster than me driving up to get it myself )

I hope I am not breaking any forum rules by posting this but wanted to let everyone know about this problem I am having with this company and you should be careful if they chose to deal with them.
 
I think it's important that you share this information so others won't have to go through what you did.

For sure, NMN and Kewlmetal are quality merchants who take care of a lot of us here...
 
You are not th firts one to have problems with these guys. I read multiple stories about spydernest on here and "other" forums!

What I want to know is how do you guys find this vendor? Was it a web search or a banner ad? I have yet to here any good thing about these guys yet for some reason they keep selling parts. Why not buy it from the vendors that make the parts and have been proven over and over to be a good vendor? I just don't get it. :dontknow:

I went to google and found them on a accident, as for burg650 I am in the same situation, TO ALL:: DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE.. I ordered a windshield, graphic inserts and the highway pegs bracketing (that bolt under the body).. I called them shorlty after the order and talked about a tracking number and you are correct, they did not give me a tracking number however told me that 2 boxes will appear at the house on this day, well when I got home that day I waited for the UPS truck and yes it showed up, I only recieved 1 box, I asked the driver to check his truck and sure enough he did and NO 2nd box.. So in box 1 was the windshield and the graphic stickers for the inserts, I installed the windshield and then tried to call, no anwer, I then sent an email that same night and told them the situation and told them that I would call them the next day, well I called and had to leave a message but they did get back to me on the phone and we discussed the situation, we both agreed we would wait one more day and that he would try to track the 2nd box down, well its been 3 days now and I have sent 9 or 10 emails and have called several times and it keeps ringing, ringing and more ringing till the phone gets goes automatically to a dial tone, this is really pissing me off.. I will try again today for sure.. Worst case is I'm out 159.95 for the highway footrest kit,, lesson learned here for sure... I will keep you updated on this.. Wish I would have ran across this threat before I ordered..

I take it this order was placed after you joined here in March. Why would you order the same part for the same price from someone you knew nothing about when you could have got it direct from the guys who make the parts and sponsor this site (No Magic Neon)?

Yeh I messed up for sure but I was new to the forum and just trying to figure this out.. I will get all my assories through nomagicneon from now on, yeah I was very new to the forum.. My order was placed on the 30th of March.. I am in the process of trying to find a member near Bellefontaine Ohio to see if they maybe are able to do something for me, not sure it would work but I can tell you this, if there was a member that got scamed and the person scaming them live somewhat near me I would take the time and effort for a small road trip to this outfit in the hopes that he or she could recover there protect.. Yah I know but again I will deal with nomagicneon from here on out, I hear GREAT things about him and all that he does, its just that I didn't really see the add's on the site till I started talking about RideOn in another threat and thats when it started to click--- I go straight to the forum only and bypass the home page..

There have been several complaints in this forum and others I belong to about The Spyder's Nest. I was going to order some stuff from them early on but luckily I found the posts before I did. I have never heard anything good about them.
 
Same here. I found them on line while looking for accessories for my soon to be purchased Spyder. I had made a list of what I was going to buy from them. Then I found this site. In other hobbies I have been in, or am in, I always try to support the sponsors of the site because:

1. they are helping support something I get great use out of for free, and
2. if they were not good to deal with you would find out very quickly from the forum

That being said, I just bought a couple of items directly from Kuryakyn's web site. Spoke to someone direct with questions. Easy to deal with, very quick shipping, would defintiely buy there again (checked NMN first and didn't see them there ;))

Nice talking to you Joe P. Folks our new phone system thats tied into our email server also handles our emails took a crap and we are waiting on the parts that will be here today FED EX. We posted this on all our websites. Sorry for the problems.

I don't get on here much or any other bbs systems. I don't like to get on anyone on a message board but. burg650 doesn't tell whole truth. When he places his order his card was no good. If I cheated him he should just report this to his card company and get his money back. Figure this out for yourself.

Nancy and I are the owners of Wing Dreams since 1998. A small but growing wings accessories shop here in Ohio. Just after Christmas we started up the Spyders Nest selling Spyder accessories also Then I had a major heart atack. Having just a few folks helping we got behind with everything. Dr says I should not even be back to work yet. But that my problem. We added a new phone system 4 weeks ago and seems it's more trouble that it's worth. Maybe simple is best. I always have people ask who I am when I talk to them on the phone.

Here is the short vertion. I spent may years in the Marines them working for the Gov. Thats how Joe P got hold of me. Nancy and I are State of Ohio directors of a goldwing club. We always raise money for the RFK.

Folks I will admit we have had a few problems in the last months but we are not crooks and always try to do things that are right. Even when a few try to take advantage. Thats all I will bore you with now I need to get working on the server problems. Once again Nice talking to you Joe and Semper Fi and thanks for your service.

I am a new member as of today. I need to vent bigtime. F.Y.I Wing Dreams, a.k.a The Spiders Nest file server and phone lines crashed (according to there web sites). In responce to Lamonster inquiry of why a person would deal with them, my thought process went something like this, is it quicker to ship a package from Prescott AZ. or from Bellefontaine OH. when you live in MA. I got the Spyder and now, like anyone else I want to get the add-ons. I ordered the mirror extensions, the center console and 7" handlebars back on March 30. i kept checking the order status, and on April 10 the status was "Shipped". I called them, only to get a "UPS Tracking number". as we all know they can't provide it. I was told the order will arrive on wednesday the 15th. I call on the 16th and get "the order was rescheduled for friday". here it is 70 degrees out and i'm waiting on parts. I was told they would overnight my order to arrive on saturday the 18th. Big suprise, but No:cus: package. When i call and get thru I always end up speaking to a guy, and yet they tell me that the 6 girls answering the phones are getting hammered ( Hmmm). I called again on the 21st, (never got thru) On the 22nd I called and asked them the obvious question (where are my parts) I have read there shipping policy that says once it goes on the UPS truck, it is no longer our problem. Well if you shipped the package as you say, wouldn't you just throw the carrier under the bus and get the guy off your back with the shipping number. I think the fellas name was mark that i spoke to on the 22nd ( so where are the women answering the phone) I called @ 10:00 in the morning and posed the question of "if my shipping address is correct according to your computer then who did you ship the package to?" I actually got a call around 1 p.m that day and mark told me the package was delivered to someone in NY, that the guy was worried about getting double billed in his credit card. the UPS guy was going to pickup the package @ 2:30 and redirect it to my address at which time a "tracking number" would be generated. I would receive a call around 5 p.m with the number. ( sure i will). I have been calling for the last 2 days, only to find out there server and phones crashed. Hopefully we are all adults here. All that I expect is a HONEST answer, if it's on backorder thats o.k. if you shipped the product, tell me the who,what, where, when and how. Don,t say you'll call back if you have no intension of calling.:gaah:. it's supposed to be in the 80's this weekend and i got the Spyder all torn down awaiting the parts from Wing Dreams. It's quite possible the reason there phones crashed was that everyone looking for there parts all called at once. I understand the owner Tim Harman is a member of this forum, God Bless the guy, but I will NEVER order another product from his site. It has been said that the Best and Worst advertising is word of mouth

Ok, a question or two comes to mind when I read this: You say that burg650's card was no good. Yet you say that if you cheated him he should report to his card company and get his money. How can he get his money back, better yet, how was his card charged if you say his card was no good? I also read that your company claims to ship 100s of packages each day and you have no record of the tracking numbers from UPS? So, what your're telling us is that you have no record, or keep no record of any of your 100s of packages you ship each day, which in simple math, given 100/day is over 2000/month. You have no idea when anyone's package was shipped and whether or not any of your packages were ever received. What a way to fly an airplane!

We can all understand that you have had health problems, but your business management practices leave a lot to be desired. When anyone, especially on this Forum, orders something from you we expect what we ordered. If you cannot provide the service without a lot of off the wall BS then you need to shut down your business. We are not really concerned in what other well-meaning organizations you may belong to. We just want what we paid for. Period.

Tim...I'm sorry to hear about your heart attack but, what you offer are merely a bunch of excuses. Sort of what we used to call in the Navy a "shaggy dog" story. You should have taken your website down until you were ready to provide FULL customer service. I hope you haven't done your reputation irreperable harm but, frankly, it doesn't look good.

After seeing all the bad press and enduring endless excuses I contacted my credit card company, explained my story and requested a credit ( not a problem) I also e-mailed Wing Dreams and canceled the order I've been eagerly awaiting for 4 weeks. I went back to The Spyder's Nest and Wing Dreams web sites and reviewed there policies a second time. BE VERY SCARED. I do believe it's been modified. I can't access the source code to check, but heres what i found. ( both sites have the same policy)

Products and Returns.
No product, parts or accessories can be returned with out a return RMA. All returns with out a RMA number will be refused and returned to shipper at your expense. To get a return RMA email us at [email protected] with your order number. Returns must be in original packages and in as new condition. No returns after 30 days of date of invoice. The Spyder's Nest will not refund or pay for return freight unless there was a miss-ship caused by us. All refunds will be paid by in store credits. No refunds on electrical accessories. Orders can't not be canceled after they are processed with out a 25% restocking fee. Certain products like Mirror Extensions are made to order and are a first come first delivered. Mirror Extensions and exhaust systems orders can not be canceled or returned unless there is a quality issue. Windshields are custom made and can not be returned or canceled after they are processed Colors will take a few more days for shipping.
The Cam Am Spyder is new to the market along with all the many accessories. Shipping of product can take as long as 6 weeks for delivery. All orders can not be canceled or returned using a timely manner as a excuse.

This is :yikes: . Are you :cus: kidding me. This is Manure in it's finest sense.

I spend roughly $400.00 for Spyder toys (not excessive) there was after all the free shipping, and no sales tax. 25% restocking fee for something that was never shipped and with all probability never there to ship. (where's the tracking number to prove it got shipped)

So you steal $100.00 of my money, (restocking) No heavy lifting on your part. SLICK

Refunds are only in store credits, why would i want to endure more B.S ? It never would make it to my house anyway

The mirror extensions CAN NOT be canceled:gaah: are you on drugs. Made to order ?

You sit back and take my money ( credit card + interest) never deliver the product. Dance me ( and others) around. And you have the stones to say there is a 25% (not dollars) restock fee on canceled orders. Your stones are so big, you must need a wheel barrel to haul them around

I will be in contact with the Ohio Better Business Bureau, and the Ohio Attorneys General Office to see what type of shell game you are running on Monday

According to the Ohio BBB only 6 complaints have been filed against Wing Dreams in the last 36 months, and ironically No complaints on The Spyder's Nest (YET)

I am not an attorney, but this has always bothered me when a store, etc., gives you a refund in store credits. When I go into a store, or order online I use a debit card, as, like most of us, I don't carry a lot of cash. This is the most accepted legal tender of this modern age. With this debit card I can go anywhere and buy. When I get a refund I want to be able to do the same thing with my refund. I want legal tender, ie., cash or credit to my card. In other words I want to be "made whole". I have never heard of anyone contesting that in court, but I think that it may be a case that could be won. The store credit is not money, therefore they are not refunding you your money. They are giving you worthless paper except in their store. That has got to be illegal. Don't you think?
 
One would think that after my first post a week ago and all the negative response that has been posted as well about these guys they would spend the 45 second and do the right thing by me, but NO still no credit of my $254. O well it is in the hands of the credit card company, you live and learn and my lesson is do not deal with mickey mouse companies.
