• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2018 vs 2019

So I am continuing on in my journey to find the differences between the 2018 vs 2019 RT Limited. Today I found out the display has been changed. In 2018 the Spyder came out with the new display package, duo display color. Although no local dealership has received RT nor has permission to put one...

    2018 vs 2019

I also have a 2011 trailer. It is way better built than the newer ones so replacing it is not a smart choice (the sales teams keep pushing it). There is a plug converter that helps to match up old wiring to new wiring (assuming that you know about the massive wiring change after moving from...

    2018 vs 2019

So my old RTS was totaled, 'nough said. Looking at the 2019 (now that the paperwork is settled), but I have a chance to purchase a "new" 2018. Does anyone know the differences in the two? Besides the price... As a prior Spyder owner, one of the original Premier Owners Group, I know BRP's...

RTS; I need to pin down an engine/transmission issue before taking it in...

Once again, thanks to all that visit the forum and take the time to assist. My dealership service dept. is not known for their Spyder "sense." We have found that if we can narrow down an area to focus on, they are more willing to try to resolve issues. After traveling about 10 hrs. and over 600...

RTS; need advice on Zumo 660

if you were asking me... no the splash screen was on the original Zumo 660 purchased from dealership. Garmin techs agreed that Zumo was toast but could not find a way to replace it with one pre-loaded with the splash screen. Time was an issue, we could not wait; Garmin paid for over-night...

RTS; need advice on Zumo 660

oops... Scotty, no longer have the original unit. It had so many problems that Garmin could not be sure that it was not corrupting the main file downloaded in the computer. They advised that I NOT plug in the USB until after we returned from vacation...use the replacement Garmin as it came...

RTS; need advice on Zumo 660

Zumo issues... I did not know that you could change the logo. When we turn the Garmin on, the logo Garmin comes up. It used to say BRP CAN AM. We don't know if it will make a difference in the warranty, of the wiring...since the dealership indicated that Garmin would have to help us with the...

RTS; need advice on Zumo 660

Short version: bought the BRP Zumo 660. Wiring, etc. worked done by spouse. His advice: worth the effort, instructions could have been written better. My job...the techie part, did not go well. I could not load or access Maps on the unit. 3 days, totalling over 8 hours on the phone to Garmin...

    FYI about trailer....

I have not seen this issue posted and would like to share a bit of education that I have picked up. ...been fighting with dealership over (shipping) damaged trailers and along the way another issue popped up. The trailer comes with 3M paint guards around the bottom and top of the 1st lid...

    Xenon kit...

We purchased all (xenon headlights, foglights and extra harness) through CAN AM, no regrets. Everything matched up, directions went well. No software conflict.

    Central CA to Portland...

I may be able to borrow a Garmin, not the 550 or 660...just a regular car one. I can pull it out and double check my routes. I do not know if I will be able to get the POI's download, as this is a borrowed GPS.

    Central CA to Portland...

This will be my first out of Calif. ride and I need to bend the ear of some people with experience. I will be driving I5 north to Ashland OR, spend the night with friends and on to Estacada OR (reverse after a few days). I will be driving 2010 RTS. At this point, I do not have a trailer...too...

    SOLD OUT

I agree with the original thread... I was told that all production on RT's for 2010 have stopped (by my dealer).

    RT's sold out?

RT delays As a long time member, I have noticed that when there are 'issues' with a production model...they slow or stop production. This is not bad thing; the pause allows them to 'fix' or update everything on the floor, warehouse, etc. Much cheaper than a recall. I was told to expect my RT in...

    Disappointment

another view... I would like to add... One of the reasons that Microsoft almost (and may have) lost their edge in software technology was the attitude of "let the buyer fix it." As users, we got tired of all the patches, promises, etc. BRP should take note of this. I understand; we would like...

    Disappointment

oh Scotty... So sad to hear your troubles. Please join me in a private "pity party" moment; for your RT and the loss of my RS. Fortunately or unfortunately my RT is on the way. Let us hope that my RT has less personal issues than my RS, because I would like to make up for a year's lost riding...

Is there a Market out there for used RS parts?

...the short version I am not a ranter and do not want to fuel any fires by hanging out my dirty laundry. Send me an email with your phone # and I will call. The bike was in the shop almost 9 months of 2009. It as been in the shop for about 8 weeks of 2010. I have been working with BRP and...

Is there a Market out there for used RS parts?

I am sad to announce that PE #1032 will be sent to auction in a few months. The bike is in the shop for another 6 weeks and will be returned to us... to strip off the extra BRP stuff we added on the bike. And there is a lot of stuff. For those of you who have traded and sold parts; what would be...

Received the new BRP 23" windshield

appreciate the advice, I will hold off on attaching the side deflectors until winter. The smaller shields would direct the air flow up into my helmet and cause screaming pain in my ears...wind would actually lift the helmet off my head when driving at higher road speeds. Now I can drive...

Received the new BRP 23" windshield

and there is an amazing difference. My question to others who have purchased the same: did you install the side deflectors? What is the benefit vs the drawbacks. We have not attached the deflectors yet and I would like to see what others have to say. PS to all who have been following my...
