Where did you get the Spyder vehicle icon?


Carol, if you can access the original unit's hard drive via you computer, you should be able to copy the splash screen jpeg and copy it to your new one. You can also make a custom splash screen if you wish. I suggest your dogs. I don't know if there is anything else special about the BRP unit...it is mostly about the mount and the wiring.

Scotty, no longer have the original unit. It had so many problems that Garmin could not be sure that it was not corrupting the main file downloaded in the computer. They advised that I NOT plug in the USB until after we returned from vacation...use the replacement Garmin as it came from the factory. We agreed, could not take a chance. That poor unit went through 12 hrs of rain, wind and otherwise crappy road conditions. I am winding down, and will (per Garmin's tech instructions) call them soon.

When you first turn the unit on, does it say BRP or Can Am or does it just have the default Garmin Logo, this is before the Where To comes up. And did you attach anything to your previous post? I dont see anything except where to put it.

When its first turned on it has the Can-am splash :thumbup:

Do you have the BRP splash screen on your unit?

no the splash screen was on the original Zumo 660 purchased from dealership. Garmin techs agreed that Zumo was toast but could not find a way to replace it with one pre-loaded with the splash screen. Time was an issue, we could not wait; Garmin paid for over-night shipment of a new Zumo 660.

The splash screen of BRP CAN AM it's in the frimware. those GPS are made for BRP (special edition) they comme with the spyder icone and the liste of BRP dealer for the other apply it's the same exept check the mapset version from BRP it's 2011 V10 garmin are now at 2012 V10 garmin update there mapset 4 time a year.

Downloaded the file, thank you. It doesn't seem to work on the 550

Loaded the RT.srf off the spyderriders site and it looks great

What's the difference between the dealer file from Lamont (spyderdealersgarmin @71KB) and the two different files on spyderriders site ( 006D135900 @1,132KB & 006D224500 @ 112KB) ? Not sure which one I should load for the best lisiting of dealers.
