• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT's sold out?

An Answer in One day

WOW! rineer 4635,

You actually got an answer, from a dealer, and it only took you one day.
wow! WOW WOW! WOW WE!!!

I finally received an answer back today, after 60-days, But it only took 2-days, from BRP direct, because I could not get a direct answer back from my dealer as he would blame BRP for not having an answer.
Where is your dealer located. Wow!, one day!, WOW!!!!!

I like that.

Answer Back yet

Hey Vordak,

I never did get an answer(E-Mail) back from my Dealer.

Carlo at BRP called me, I was out so he left a message, he said that BRP is very interested in getting me my trailer, and that mine would ship either April - May, they could not promise when, and that he had just talked to my dealer about it.

I sent Carlo a e-mail (I prefer everything in e-mail) saying that all I was looking for from day-1, was just a delivery date, something, anything!!!

Carlo said, If I had any problems or needed anything, for me to call his direct phone number.

I let Carlo know that I really appreciated some correspondence back, since I had no Idea what was happening, My dealer turned it around and said that he had been communicating with me. Funny I dont have any e-mail(s) to back that up.

My Dealer said they would send me E-Mail's regarding my order when i bought the Spyder & Trailer.

I received, I think 1ea. e-mail, It wasn't even about my order it said my dealer received 3ea. new RT's.

I thought that was news about my trailer, NO! i don't think so.

I have to say, my dealer has worked to get my Spyder up and running and I do appreciate that, But this lack of communication is a real pisser.

His ability to keep a happy customer must include follow up, & communication via E-Mail.

Maybe it was all my years working for NASA doing subcontracts, follow up to me is vital.

I say this Vordak because my dealer monitors all my posts here on Spyderlovers forum.

The trailers sitting around at BRP, were probably were not Blue ones.

RT delays

As a long time member, I have noticed that when there are 'issues' with a production model...they slow or stop production. This is not bad thing; the pause allows them to 'fix' or update everything on the floor, warehouse, etc. Much cheaper than a recall. I was told to expect my RT in May. I believe they will fill all the pre-orders before sending out showroom stock.
If they delay into the 2011 model, how could they force the pre-purchase people to pay the difference (2010 vs. 2011) or want to buy a 2010 that is now technically a year old? I think that happened to a car years ago and it ruined the value, someone with more auto knowledge would remember. :dontknow:

Don't know if BRP still works this way normally they start switching over to making snowmobiles somewhere about this time for Sept. deliveries.
Ya but been to Valcourt :spyder:are on a seperate line but thats what they do with watercraft and snowmobiles they also told the the change over takes one weekend wich is pretty amazing

You're both right....

BRP told you on the phone 2 days ago they had lots of trailers sitting around. I've phoned 5 dealers in your state who have lots of trailers in stock.

You're blaming BRP when I still believe your dealer is stringing you along. BUT, you are most certainly entitled to believe whatever you want...

Noob here... So take my response with a grain of salt.... We wanted a triler and RT-S SE in Blue... Trailers are no where to be seen, but the RT-S was a different story...

My wife and I ran across this type of communication as well. I have emails for proof...

" Hello
My name is Eric Gibson from LYNNWOOD MOTOPLEX in LYNNWOOD.

Just got your inquiry on the RTS SE5. These specific models in blue with the electric shift are very hard to find right now. BRP just announced they are cutting production for the rest of the year as well so with supply extremely low and demand for this model and color very high discounted deals are hard to come by. The last one I just sold I had to truck in all the way from California! There are just none left anywhere close to here and none shipping in the next few months. So while it may be difficult to get that color it is possible. The sooner you decide the better the possibility of aquiring one. They retail for $26999 and the trailer is about $4000. I do have a black SE5 manual shift and trailer in stock and a few blue and silver audio and convenience packages in stock. Let me know if you would like to come down and take a look at them or any other info I can supply you.Eric Gibson

And....

"I am Chris Paulson from Paulson’s Motorsports in Lacey. I am the Premiere Spyder dealer in Washington. I have personally ridden RS model Spyders more than 5000 miles and RT model about 1000 miles so far this year. I can answer all of your questions about your new Spyder. 3
I have the RT-S in Blue available (2 only for the year) and the RT Audio/Convenience (1 left for the year) and I have a Rt-622 trailer in blue on order that should be here in the near future. I have a demo RT-S SE5 for you to ride if you want to.
Can Am has limited RT production and there won’t be as many as dealers have ordered and some dealers are all ready out of RT-S models.
Currently I have them so even if you are not going to be ready for several months I would like you to come ride one just in case they become very scarce. I have had enormous interest in RT’s in the past few weeks selling 3 of them.
Bluetooth is part of the CB & Communication package and I currently have that in stock as well as a Garman GPS unit.
Call or e mail when you are ready to ride a Spyder.

Thank You,

Chris Paulson

That said.... We have four dealers in a 100 mile range. We worked with another dealer and they never mentioned this once We told them what we wanted, they made one phone call, and found the RT-S SE5 in Blue that we wanted. My wife talked it over for a few days, went in this past Wednesday and paid for it. They picked it up today, still in it's crate. We pick it up on Wednesday...

Can't wait!!

BTW... I went with the Enumclaw dealer, and they got our Spyder from a dealer about 40 miles away... Not California like the one dealer stated they had to do... Looks like the relationship between dealers is also a key right now.

Anyway, just wanted to throw out there that you are both correct. Some dealers are "Salemakers" others are "Service/Relations" driven. I prefer the latter.... :2thumbs:
