• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today I got on the road at 0515 and rode back home from Panacea, Florida. Stopped along the way for breakfast and to get gas. No photos from today's ride, but here is one that I took while down in Florida. St. Marks NWR. Logged about 750 miles total on the 3 day trip.

Rode to a covered bridge about an hour away. Broke out my old 120 film Yashica camera for some black and white images.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Left early this morning to beat the forecast rain (which still hasn't come) to one of the state's covered bridges. Did about 107 miles total. Later made a quick run to the library to pick up some books for the wife.

Your Weather News @ August 2024

Here is SW Georgia it is currently 73, and not quite 7 AM. Should get into the mid 90's with heat index up to 108. At least the rain chance has dropped to about 20% but of course humidity is still high. I'm keeping an eye on the weather along the gulf coast because I really want to ride down...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Missed riding yesterday because of dealing with some plumbing issues. :) But today I did about 95 mile round trip up to a covered bridge and back. One brief, light rain shower but otherwise nice weather.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

(Yesterday) Finally got a chance to put in about an hour on the ride. Just a big loop on some county roads, about 52 miles. Today hope to install the Fobo 2 TPMS sensors I got a few days ago.

What's in your saddle bags and frunk?

I'm still deciding what to move from my motorcycle to my Spyder, so right now I only have rain gear in the left saddlebag. I want to keep the right bag empty for my helmet when I stop and have to leave the Spyder for any length of time. I have an air compressor and tire patch kit to add to the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Been pretty hot down here as well, so I ride early. Lots of static on the air so I haven't been very active on my rig.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed BajaRon upgraded sway bar. That's probably the last "major" upgrade to the machine, at least for a while.

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

I updated the software to get ACP on my 2024 Spyder but unfortunately, I don't use an iPhone. I have an iPad, but ACP is not supported on iPad. Oh well. Maybe my next phone will be an iPhone.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today is nice so I spent a little over 3 hours in the saddle this morning riding over to Horseshoe Bend National Military Park. About 170 miles round trip. I'll be glad when I get enough miles to start using the cruise control...

Looking for ryders in middle GA area

I'm about an hour and a half west of Warner Robins. Doesn't seem to be much Spyder activity over here either. (Also retired Navy) Honestly not a big fan of "group rides" but getting together with one or two other riders on occasion would be nice.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Went on a short 1 hour ride before the rain chance got too high (and the temp - been in the mid to upper 90's here lately). But I did reach my first 1000 mile mark on the Spyder.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

This morning I took my Spyder on a ride over to Andersonville National Historic Site, about 130 miles round trip. A bit warmish out but I got home before it reached the mid 90's.

Installed SpyderExtras Billet Aluminum Handlebar Riser Kit - not comfortable??

Thanks. I'll give that a try. I do know that when I am riding my left arm is much more comfortable when I have the heel of my hand resting on the grip rather than holding the grip. So, as mentioned above, probably a bit more setback than I need. Wish I had tried this before I purchased. And...

Installed SpyderExtras Billet Aluminum Handlebar Riser Kit - not comfortable??

Trying for a bit higher bar and a little setback. This riser may have a bit too much setback though.

Installed SpyderExtras Billet Aluminum Handlebar Riser Kit - not comfortable??

I installed the SpyderExtras Billet Aluminum Handlebar Riser Kit thinking it might make the ride a bit more comfortable, but I'm not sure that it is really as comfortable as stock. I know that when I added a riser to my Versys 650 it was much more comfortable. So now I'm wondering if I should go...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Spent the morning installing a handlebar riser, driver backrest, and brake light flashers. Bajaron sway bar arriving tomorrow. After that install, I will be pretty much done with "must do" add-ons.
