• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it possible to do an Oil Change without a lift?

It is your machine, but I suspect that using the extractor you did not drain the oil from the area behind the gearbox screen, you might want to do that next time. JMO

Do you remove your Airhawk seat pad when you leave your Spyder parked?

When I installed the air hawk straps I put the fasteners under the seat but if I was staying at a motel I would simply unzip and remove the pad. No problem during the day rides.

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

22 F3S solo rider, hwy riding, spirited at times, only checked it once at it was at 35 mpg. I can get 200 miles per tank easily so that has become my range indicator.

Tell Me Something Good About Your Spyder Ownership Experience

I test drove the Spyders when they first came out and decided I didn't need one at the time. Last year my Mango Green 22 F3S was sitting in the show room looking lonely so I had a closer look and decided to buy it. I had not been a highway bike rider previously but had my license to drive it. My...

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

The F3S already has "sport mode" that gives you a quicker throttle signal response similar to the devices being discussed but also provides other changes from the ECM such as relaxed nanny on rear wheel traction. My SWAG is that both spyders with and without will arrive at the same time...

Has Anyone else got a Rear shock oil leak?

https://can-am-shop.brp.com/on-road/ca/en/shop/sales/parts/ If you go to canam parts and look up your make and model, it will show you a diagram with all the parts for the rear suspension, including the shock, Part # 706001552. The shock is a standard hydraulic shock with no air lines going...

Front Pulley Failure! Incredibly Poor Dealer Response!

I doubt that BRP will pay for a third-party repair (IMO), but she should contact BRP Care and have them open a case file explaining what her concerns are about the quality of repair with the current dealership. Once that case file is open, they may recommend a different dealership do the repair...

Has Anyone else got a Rear shock oil leak?

You need to look near the top attachment point to see the piston seal as Mikey suggested. The oil will leak down along the body and spring until it drips onto the catalytic converter. Based on the amount of dust on the spring, it looks like an oil leak from a bad seal. Take it to the dealer for...

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

Interesting but not for me. I played with my 22F3S last fall when we got about an inch of snow and when I tried to do anything that broke the rear tire loose in standard mode it immediately applied the brakes and almost slid me sideways into the ditch. I didn't try sport mode it might have...

Need to modify driver's seat on 2023 RTL - anyone made theirs comfortable?

Just got my Airhawk Custom R large for my 22 F3S drivers seat and the first impression is positive, I am still playing with the inflation of the cushion a bit and yes you will sit a bit higher 1/4-1/2" depending on the amount of inflation.

Purchasing Soon - what is the process like? Any experiences/advice appreciated

Pay attention to the model you are pricing when shopping and each dealer may be different but in the past I have had a discount on accessories for one year and if I had some accessories added to the machine before I picked it up the sales guys would usually install the accessories at no charge...

Are Dealers 'dumping' New-Old-Stock Spyders instead of selling latest models?

It is not unusual for new (old stock) machines being sold a year or two later. I bought my 22 F3S last July so it was a year old, a discount on the MSRP and additional warranty were offered. You may be able to get additional credit off the price for the accessories etc. I don't know who owns...

How does Can-Am Test New Spyders? Should I be concerned?

Sorry folks, I did not say the dealers take the machines out for a road test where they pin them to achieve the top speed you see on the display. My dealer does have a stand for the skidoos and a stand for the spyder and other vehicles I mentioned where they check track alignment, belt...

How does Can-Am Test New Spyders? Should I be concerned?

Both my 22 F3S and my 22 Renegade XRS 900 R were run up to maximum at the dealership during the dealer prep prior to sale. I haven't seen any negative side effects on any of my many skidoos, sxs, outlanders, seadoos or spyder. After I bring them home I follow the break in as per the owners...

    Two Oil Observations ... I think ...

You have a good question but I don't believe that anyone can answer for you. You will have to decide for yourself when the oil should be changed and the only way that I found that works for me is taking an oil sample and have it analyzed to see what the used viscosity is and what wear metals...

Does the Spyder have an Altidude reading?

My 22 F3S has a combination air temp/pressure sensor #17 on the air box parts list that will compensate for changes in air temperature and changes in altitude as you ride during the trip. That leads me to believe that the fuel injection system in the Spyder automatically compensates for these...

Anyone purchased BEST Extended Warranty in Canada?

I don't purchase extended warranty on anything including sleds, quads, sxs or seadoos and so far I have saved a bunch of money. JMO

Why should I consider upgrading the shocks? What should I expect if I do?

The choice of what you buy is up to you but most people tend to recommend what they bought. Do your own research before you buy. Some of the former sponsors carry aftermarket shock/spring packages as well. The only shock/spring package that I have bought is the Elka 2 for the F3S but I have had...

Burning Pain in Shoulder Blades - seating, handlebars, or helmet? Any ideas??

I rode with Ron yesterday and he said it was better with the new bars, hopefully he will be by to reply himself. I find that using cruise when possible, constantly changing my hand position, rolling my shoulders and changing the angle of lean has pretty much eliminated my shoulder pain. Our...
