• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GEICO - anyone had F3 Body Shop Repairs done Following Collision?

GEICO and other ins. companies have preferred Auto repair shops, but my guess is since they sell MTC> ins. they won't send you to an Auto repair shop. If they do get in touch with your agent or the Company itself and get an explanation WHY .....good luck ....Mike

Dealer says Car tires damage fenders - does this make sense???

:agree: X's 10 .... Total HOOEY .... I seriously doubt that a wider tire could physically damage the fender, the space between the tire and SWING ARM & and the DRIVE BELT is what would cause issues long before the fender would .... It's too bad they didn't tell what that tire size was ...

Do you think we'll see Spyders with DCT soon?

 .... Last year I bought a used car (Nissan Versa Note) I had the opportunity to get one with a CVT trans. It sounded appealing, so I did some research in cars that had them .... after reading a number of reviews I decided there were NO plusses in getting one and MANY negatives .... my...

Any Tips for removing clutch oil drain plug before hot oil shoots out?

I've refrained from commenting on this subject until now ...... IMHO the oil doesn't have to be that HOT !!!!! .... After the oil gets to operating temperature, once it stops circulating all the particulate matter will settle to the bottom (where the oil plugs are) .... so plan to change the oil...

Battery Dead, seat not opening - does it need power to open?

That will work, However I have a gas door on the left where it should be and I added a PULL wire that goes connects with the seat LATCH .... and that also works .... But neither is necessary on my 14 RT because my seat latch has been dis-abled .... so now the latch can never get stuck ....Mike...

Which upgrade would you do first ?

Forget the Centramatics ... take the front wheels (the rear doesn't need to be balanced) to any car shop and get them spin balanced .... Let the Kenda's wear out - the fronts aren't that bad, it's the rear that will wear out fairly quickly. Get a RIKEN Raptor HR for $80.00 at tire rack ..... The...

Are there any Longer Handgrips/Handlebar extns available for Spyders?

I replaced the GRIPS on my 14 RT and the replacement GRIPS weren't heated. However, they still heat the grips I have now. I recently was looking at grips for a different MTC and there were various lengths for those. I was on E-Bay, & they were sold as a pair; the throttle side is a slightly...

Those in the LINK are both the correct sizes ..... However instead of the Quatrac rear tire I got ( from tire rack ) the RIKEN Raptor HR in 215/60-15 IHMO ( it's rating ) is just hair less than the Quatrac .... and it's only $ 80.00 ....I have mine for 9000 +mi. and love it. .... So have others...

New side panel “fake” post replacements needed

Sorry no I don't :banghead: .... but it was simple ....after removing the angled knob, I filled the depression with a piece of 1/4 in thick nylon ( left-over from my snomobile days ) .... I attached it with a rivet and drilled a hole for a small machine screw. Or you could glue a piece of...

Can-Am does some things right, others not so much

However that AIR POCKET is still there, even if you add another 1.35 gal. and thereby filling the tank to the lip ..... I don't fill my gas tank at home, I fill it while out riding.... It's never completely full when I park it in my garage .... out of the sun .... JMHO ... and you are entitled...

My new baby - which gas? 87, E10, or is 91 octane better?

:agree: .... however it's more than one gallon, going back 5+ years when this topic first came up I started to check on how much more gas can go into my 14 RT .... I put the nozzle in all the way and start filling up .... when the auto-shutoff stops the flow I note how much it took .... then I...

New side panel “fake” post replacements needed

Are those the ANGLED KNOB - blk plastic pieces that go into a rubber grommet (and are a *itch) to assemble??? If so, I have four of them that I removed from my 14 RT and replaced with a small nylon block, so that I now use a reg machine screw to hold the panel ..... Mike

My new baby - which gas? 87, E10, or is 91 octane better?

The OCTANE thing has been discussed at least 3,000,000 times. I have a 14 RT also and used 87 Octane 99.99% of the time. ... My RT runs and performs fine. To my knowledge since 2012 no one has reported any issues from using the 87 octane .... good luck ....Mike
