• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Hey all. I did a 30k mile service yesterday. I adjusted the valves, replaced spark plugs, air filter, changed oil, oil filters, changed coolant, checked brakes, found a mystery broken wire going to the handlebars that I also fixed. I’m guessing it was for the heated grips since there were two plugs exact match. I’ve had a problem with the Frunk not opening with the button since I bought it, I dug into that and after some wiggle testing using a noid light, I found that the limit switch for the frunk was not supplying ground to the release plunger.

After I was done with all that, I installed the BRP armrest set for my wife. Today we rode 110 miles. She loves them. Worth every penny in my book.

I added the skid plate to the lower front facia of my Canyon. Its just cosmetic but it looks good there.
Got any pics? I'm interested in seeing them. I'm going to be at the dealer tomorrow to get a pitman arm replaced. They said they are giving me a demo to ride while they are doing it so I can go up to the casino. I'm hoping they will give me a Canyon demo to take out.

I'll post a photo tomorrow, but it is the same skid plate that the XT and Red Rock come with. If you look at the three models on the Can Am web site, the base model has a black lower facia, while the other two have the silver skid plate. Don't take a test ride on the Canyon unless you can resist the "wants".

I dusted mine off. Still putting its stable together. I don't know how all this stuff fit in my last garage. I'm getting there slowly.
Today I managed to reassemble a large Kobalt steel cabinet that the movers had almost destroyed. Uhh! Also hung 2 smaller Kobalt steel cabinets. I did put some (stock) Spyder take off parts away, that were replaced by after market goodies. All in all, I feel like I made some headway. Soon the F3S will have a proper shop surrounding it. The Durango GT will also benefit. My poor Jeep will just have to suffer the wx.
Here's the fleet waiting to get warm inside.

Cheers All!

Pitman arm was replaced on Wednesday and aligned and my arm is healing up well.

Getting ready to head out to Georgia at the end of the month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed... after Brooks straightened me out from the last accident repair, I was rear ended 6 months later on the way to O.C. Bikefest. Not even thinking of going near there for it this weekend. It will be 2 years to the day on Sunday that I was picking myself up off the asphalt after being hit and launched over the handlebars into the intersection.

Rode to the gym today (I go 3 x a week just to keep the old man out) and got a "!" on the lower bar and an amber message in the upper part that said "Loss of communication with the ECU". It lasted about a minute and then went away. Everything was working fine the whole time. It was not there immediately after I started the bike, but rather it showed up after about three miles of driving. I am beginning to think they put Gremlins in the Spyders when they put them together at the factory.

Today (9/12/2025) I took a ride, did errands.
Some of the trees here in Vermont are starting to show their colors, despite the drought conditions. The drought conditions have gotten worse here in Vermont, real bad; the rivers, streams, etc are drying. Some people have run out of water.
