• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yes, I got instructions, but they only pertain to programming it using the 'Learn Button'. My gate controller does not have a Learn Button.
So what's the manufacturer and model of your gate controller?

Maybe I can track down some instructions for it.

I reinstalled the right side panel on my 2024 Spyder RTL, this time the right way. When I put it back on last fall after wiring my GPS to the auxiliary 12V connector, I didn't get it hooked back in correctly at the front edge. I noticed it a few weeks ago when I was just looking over the bike in the garage. It's easy to get that panel on wrong.

Do you have any pictures showing what those lights look like day/night?
I will do a video once the snow stops. It's not being a very nice spring so far...

I'm curious how creative folks have been in finding places to mount or secure the Show Chrome fuse block. The area under the head lights has wire bundles & connections for most the auxiliary lighting that's been added, and there's still some room in there, but I'm wondering where else this style fuse block has been placed. I'm considering putting over by the air filter but wondering if it'd be too hot under that panel.

I have a neutrino about the same size, on my S2S 2024... and the location I found to be the best space wise is in front on the left hand side; you'll need to remove the black panel that we remove to check the cooling level.

Replaced the rear shock with Elka stage 2. All three shocks now matched. (2020 RT Base with 34K miles)
Reduced air bladder PSI from 65 to 30 for less-harsh ride, and loving it so far. Front Elkas were installed last year.

Where did you get this one? Amazon?
Yes, And tested and works great. Found the
Motorcycle Phone Charger,Dual USB 6.8A Quick Charge 3.0 Motorcycle Handlebar Charger with Voltmeter & ON/Off Switch, Waterproof SAE to USB Adapter for Phone, Tablet, GPS (Red) Brand: OTOOKAYA
Plugged right in place where my older 3A one had been.

Went to another open house and wellness check up at the dealership in Winston Salem, NC. Got to talk to an old friend for a while who is a Can Am Ambassador and works there doing some assembly. He rides the first Canyon (that I know of), in NC. KI got a chance to sit on them and see/talk to him about some of the mods that he has done. The best one that I can think of was one we discussed that Saturday and he evidently installed later that day. He replaced the stock muffler with an F3 muffler. He had to do some mods to things, but it looks great. I haven't heard it, but considering I loved the sound of the stock F3 muffler better than the rest, I am sure it is awesome. I also made an appointment to have my 2021 RT-L serviced and a new rear tire installed for the cross country trip that we are going to undertake next month.

I just completed a big Spring refresh on my 2020 F3-S with just over 48,000 miles. Since my wife is now retired along with me, we'll be doing a lot more touring together, and I wanted to get the bike back to 100%.

I found that one of my front shocks was leaking oil so I replaced that with a used take-off shock from my friend's bike. BRP wants $400 for a new one! My friend gave me his take off shocks for free, (well, the price of lunch) because I had done the work replacing his with Elka's. Besides not wanting to spend the money on a new shock or replacing with Elkas, I have an investment in the H+R performance springs from Martin, so I wanted to keep the same Fox shock.

Replaced the front brake pads and the rear pads and rotor. I had previously replaced the front rotors last year. All EBC products.

Changed the oil and filter, it was due at about 8,000 miles. No particles found on the oil plug magnets. I use Mobil 1 4T Motorcycle Synthetic.

Checked the air filter. Didn't look dirty at all, blew off some dust with the air hose. I think I replaced it last year.

Although my Vredestein Quatrac tires weren't down to the wear bars yet, they were close enough, so I ordered a new set from Town Fair Tire. I had purchased the previous set from them and they were able to mount them no problems. But they can't balance them on their machine, so I balanced them myself. I have a Marc Parnes Balancing Kit for the Spyder. Works great, my bike rolls super smoothly. I had about 38,000 miles on the front tires and about 20,000 on the rear. I had only a little more wear in the center of the tires than the sides, so I'm good with the air pressures I've been using. 18 psi in the fronts and 22 in the rear. I might go down one psi if they don't feel too mushy.

This was also a good time to service the front drive pulley. I removed it, cleaned, and regreased it. Everything looking good there, no sign of rust or wear. This is the third time I've done it - Every time I've replaced the rear tire, it makes sense to do it when you have the belt loose.

Decided to reinstall the stock catalytic converter to quiet the bike down so that my wife won't be annoyed so much by the drone. After my test ride, the jury is out, I may put it back in. The RLS pipe with expansion chamber isn't much louder and has a nice deeper tone. She didn't seem to mind it much, but after our next ride together I'll know her preference.

Did some cleaning in the hard to reach areas while I had it apart. The bike is starting to show it's age a bit here and there. It's getting a little aluminum corrosion on a few parts. Nothing I'll bother with for now. I like to keep my bike clean, but I know that time will get to it. As long as it's mechanically sound and reliable, I'm keeping this thing for a long time!

The weather cleared up yesterday afternoon, so I took it for a good test ride of over 2 hours and the bike felt great!

Is it mounted to the handle bar? If so, can you please provide an image. I saw this one on Amazon, but not sure it will fit my handlebar...

Just what it says really... I see this question/topic on a couple other forums I visit, and it's always interesting to see what people post. So, what did you do to your Spyder today? Any model, heck let's include Ryker too...
I just picked up the Ultimate Seats for my 2021 RTL. Also added a Carpuride. It has a large screen and adds Apple Car Play. A big improvement over Go Connect.
