• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Two Valley Tour

Jeriatric

Thinks out loud
Fridays destination Lone Pine, Ca. Will overnight there and tour Death Valley points of interest on Saturday with the days ride ending somewhere near Las Vegas . Overnight again, then head out for a ride through the Valley of Fire with Sundays ride finishing up back home. Looking forward to three fun days of riding without the use of freeways.

Is it Friday yet? :doorag:

Really..!!!

not enough heat at home..:roflblack: Sounds like a great trip..enjoy, hydrate and be safe..:ohyea::ohyea:

Dang, I'll be on the Ladies Only Ride to Carlsbad, NM or I'd be happy to show you around.

Have you ever ridden through Lake Mead National Recreation Area? From Hoover Dam to Overton, NV it is a beautiful ride and you can take it to the Valley of Fire entrance. I personally don't like Valley of Fire because they charge too much money to enter. I have a National Parks Pass which includes Lake Mead.

Arrived Lone Pine about 1630. Cooled the spyder down, fed her some oats, and put her to bed under her travel cover. Am layed over at the Dow Villa, 'Motel portion' and spyder is just out the window. Nice place and a definate recommend if you're ever passing through. (link provided above).

Had a great steak, baked potato, w/asparagus and salad just up the street too.Goooood stuff.

There's snow in the mountains, but nothing for this time of the year compared to years past. Cal is hurting...water wise.

Supposed to be sub 30 here in the morning and will get colder as we climb up and over to Death Valley. Oh boy!!! It's great really.

Spyder ran like a top today. Caught one of my buds checking up on me. He powered up the garmin and asked me what my fastest speed for the day was. I said, think around a hundred (passing 5 cars that had been running nose to tail for miles). Sure enough, garmin said 99. Why lie...:roflblack:

Another geat day in paradise.

See ya later.

Death Valley....has some pretty good roads BUT, if you want to witness breath taking desert beauty. Head for Las Vegas and go straight to The Valley of Fire.......to say I was ah struck! would be a gross understatement. After having seen it I'm convinced there has to be a higher power. If ya know what I mean. Also enjoyed the ride through Lake Mead National park. Very nice indeed. Will do both again. Death Valley ------ Maybe? :roflblack:
