There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Where is your temp needle on 2013 RT Ltd?

Mine is at the dealer, wet its bed three times, green stuff from over flow bottle, ugh. Replaced radiator cap still over heating. Who know's what's next.

So here is my question. When I'm cruising at highway speeds my needle is horizontal at the 3 o'clock position. In traffic and stop and go it rises to between 1 and 2 o'clock. What is your experience? What should I expect? Fan works, probably too much. Thanks!

Mine is a 2012 RT Limited. Today, I was riding 2 up in 88 degree temps. Most was on the highway but when running at city speeds, the needle was a slightly less than the 3 o'clock position. It was, in reality, the same reading as when we were traveling at 55 to 60 MPH.

2013 RTSE5, in traffic it goes a little higher than the 3 o clock position, normal hiway speeds right at 3 o clock. Average ambient temp. is 85-95 degrees.

Overheating problems are fairly straightforward to resolve. Your dealer certainly shouldn't be stumped. First thing to check is the fan fuse and relay. Make sure the coolant cap is turned all the way to the second detent. At that point, test and/or replace the thermostat. If all else fails, replace the water pump. If there is still no joy, suspect a blown head gasket or a cracked head or block. Mechanics 101...and tghey won't get the answers from a computer.

Here in the Deep South it was 95 today. On the expressway doing 70-75 the meter was on one tick mark less than 3:00. In town doing 20-35 in moderate traffic, lots of stops, it was at 3;00. 2012 RT-S, no heat mods, two brothers exhaust.

Just about the 2:00 postion most all of the time excepting on a cool day. (2013 RT-S, and only mod to address heat is Can Am air deflectors.

I'm in Sacramento Ca. anything over 45 the temp gauge is at 3 in stop and go on a hot day mine never hits the next line but I'm about to put in my spyderpops heat dam to redirect the heat so we'll see what happens after that.

Radiator cap...

They did replace the cap but did'nt top off the radiator. When they did voila' runs at 4 o'clock at highway speeds, 3 in stop and go.

mine is under 3 at highway speeds. When I slow down for traffic or what ever, it will go to 1-2. Last night it was at 1 and heading up, but back at speed again, it came back down.
On most cars I thought this indicates, low coolant levels?

So what does BRP say it should operate at?

follow up: checked my fluid level and its at the bottem of the reservoir. I guess i need to add some, but its not perfectly level at the moment.

BTW: the placement of the filler port is really poorly done. DO you have to remove the side panel to fill it?
Really seems poorly thought out in this regard.

I use a turkey baster with a flexible hose attached and it works well. Keep a eye out on the fluid level and if it seems to drop again, check the hose clams to make sure they are snug and not seeping under pressure.

Temp Reading

Sorry to hear things are heating up. I had the same issue, replace thermostat and no problem since. Before the fix, my fan was certainly getting a workout. Hopefully you are not blocking the engine exhaust on the right side.
