Thanks for the reply. Cat bypass does make a considerable difference. I think the header heat wrap also helps allot. Perhaps header heat wrap on the header in front of the MC in conjunction with the MC recall would assist in keeping the MC safer. Heat wrapping this area of the header would be easy. Still waiting on the person that posted the 2013 RT fluid leak/ fire to let us know what the dealer found. I want my wife's Spyder to be as safe as possible, as does everyone who rides them.
Nope on both. I may consider the cat bypass in the future though. As I said as long as the MC isn't already melted or still is too close to the header there is considerable improvement without them but I bet yours IS even better. I am glad I did not take 501 into Myrtle Beach as my route what should take 20 min was 1 1/2 hrs today. It was a 10 mile long parking lot I saw it as I was going in the opposite direction. A fan that turns on with the radiator fan would be a good thing in traffic like that. Being a local I know better than taking that route on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. There are better ways to get to the beach than a straight line.:thumbup:
