• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rider to passenger intercom

Another vote for the Sena headsets. We started out with FRS radios and a wired headset. My hubby absolutely hated holding down the button to talk and hated being attached with wires. Hated having to unplug to fuel up, etc.

We got the sena about a year ago and we absolutely love them. He can push the button just one time and talk all he wants and when he is through, either he or I can push the button again and we disconnect. We bluetooth our phones to them. Talked to my daughter last night on a ride and she thought I was in the car. Couldn't tell I was cruising the spyder.

My wife and I have used Scala Rider Teamsets for years No problems. They are very basic. Just intercoms and Able to answer and talk on a bluetooth phone. Around $200.00 at the time oif purchase. Batteries will last for a full day of riding.

My wife and I have the scala rider teamset pro and were very pleased with it. The only problem that we have had is wind noise switching off our iPod connection to our intercom system when doing 65 to 70 mph . Besides that audio is still good at highway speeds.

It kinda depends on exactly what you want. All we wanted was an intercom, we weren't concerned about bike to bike coms, pairing with a phone or GPS, or music. We use the Cardo Scala Rider Teamset Pro and have been very satisfied with them. The audio is plenty loud and the VOX is adequate, though not the best I've ever used. Battery life is very good, at least a full 8 hours and sometimes 14 to 16 hours depending on usage. They recharge very quickly as well. We had a problem with them just before the 2 year warranty was expired and Cardo replaced both units hassle free. You can still find new units on eBay and other sites for pretty good prices.

Well, since I already have the HJC IS-MAX BT helmet, I'm going to give the ChatterBox XBi2-H a shot.

I've heard that since they've reworked the harness that sound level issues have been worked out.

I'll most likely order it from Amazon so that hopefully I can return it if it turns out to be trash.

We'll see.

Keep us updated on how this works. I have the same helmet but have stayed away from the chatterbox due to bad reviews on volume.

:agree: We E-Bayed ours for only $163...

When we were looking for bike-bike we checked out different company sites. What we learned is they state right on their web sites that they won't honor warranty if item is purchased from other than dealers, ie: Ebay Graigs List etc. I checked with a cycle dealer just for S&Gs and they said the same thing.

Ordered it Tuesday. Got it Thursday. Shipping it back today.

In a nutshell, the volume level seemed great to me. The problem I had was the mic was non functional. I guess that's ok so long as I don't want to say anything to the person on the other end.

What really ticked me off is that chatterbox wanted me to pay to ship it back to them for warranty repair. I'd be ok with that if it was out of warranty, but just out the box? That seemed a stretch. So back it goes to Amazon for refund.

I guess its for the best; for the same price of that unit, you can get the pair of Sena's.
