• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, today is the big day...

Ed best of luck and our prayers for you! The worst is behind you, do what the Docs say and you will be fine and back to doing what you love most!

When he can eat real food again, he'll be happier. :D
:agree: I do believe you have hit the nail on the head, Scotty! :2thumbs: I don't know why he watches any of the TV channels with food discussions, when he hasn't been allowed to eat anything the past few days.

Glad to hear he is grumbling a little - tell him to let me know when he can have that Pizza we discussed. I will bring it up and we can have a little party!!!

:2thumbs: that's good news. Now you should probably go home tonight and let the nurses deal with Mr. Grumpy
That is exactly my plan! Waiting for the rain to stop. He's been up in a chair a few times as well as walking to the door and back. Abdominal binder has made a big difference in his willingness to move. Thanks again for all the prayers and thoughts...will probably wait a few days to post anything since we're waiting for pathology reports now. They will probably take till Thursday.

THE SURGERY

THIS one got a big smile out of him, Fang! :2thumbs: Unfortunately, surgeon is continuing with the clear liquids for the next two days because of a low grade temp. :cus:

Update: We are still waiting to hear back from pathology, so there's nothing much to report on Ed. He's running a low grade fever...he was sent downstairs for Xrays earlier. Unfortunately, the surgeon is not advancing his diet any for the next 2 days, so it's clear liquids for at least 2 more days. He's fed up with jello/broth...I should have brought some popsicles in, I guess. It's our grandson's 3rd birthday...we'll be seeing him later today, so that will hopefully cheer Ed up. Thank you, all, for the prayers and support...keep .

grandkids kinda of do that...cheer you up...they have so much energy.....keep the updates coming...prayers from Texas

Latest update on Ed: we certainly didn't get the news we were wanting today.:cus: My birthday present from the oncologist was the news we are dealing with a Stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma, which is in Ed's bone marrow as well as GI tract. :cus: He thinks we need to start chemo right away rather than going to MD Anderson or Moffett for a second opinion. He is worried about the time delay if we try going elsewhere since it would mean chemo wouldn't start till later. He was going to call Anderson to discuss Ed's test results thus far. Surgeon advanced his diet to full liquids. He can have ice cream now! We're going to still aim for Lamont's in Sept. On a good note: I got the most beautiful flowers from Ed today...of course, we both ended up crying when I read the card. It was so sweet. Please keep up the prayers. Hopefully we'll have him home for the weekend.
