Glad to hear he's home.
Now, Scotty...It could be that the grandson's face is too chubby, not that Ed's is too skinny! :roflblack::roflblack:Ed does look good in that photo! His face is skinnier than the grandson's, though. Gotta get some food in the poor lad.ray:

Of course, I brought the whip home...it's on the back of our bedroom door (shhhh...don't let Erags know). So far I haven't had to use it, though. He's eating good and we're trying to increase the distance we're taking on walks around the neighborhood. Some of the Patriot Guard guys we ride with told us to look into VA coverage since lymphoma has been tied to Agent Orange exposure. We filed a claim for that (and ischemic heart disease)...he has 2 of the 8 presumptive diagnoses tied to Agent Orange exposure. :yikes: Agent Orange could explain both illnesses since neither one runs in his family. :dontknow: Now we're waiting for both MD Anderson and the VA. I'm doing well (relatively speaking)...can't stand all this waiting for answers. I want to get things going with chemo...time to kick :cus:. We're hoping to make Lamont's (probably by Mini) but we haven't been able to make reservations anywhere yet since we're going day-to-day. Hopefully as it gets closer we'll have a better idea about a lot of things.Happy to hear y'all are home. Ed looks pretty good for what he's been through. How are you doing??? Did you bring the whip home??

We had our Fast Track application filed over the phone today. We hadn't even thought of the VA until one of our fellow Patriot Guard members asked if we had filed a claim with them. The destroyer he was on in Vietnam is on the Navy list as a documented exposure to Agent Orange. Someone is supposed to be calling us back about the Fast Track...with our luck, it will be when we are in Houston to see MD Anderson doctors. Ed already has a VA disability determination so maybe an update on his health status will be quicker. Unfortunately the VA has been rather overwhelmed with claims from Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, as well as Vietnam.VA has a Fast Track program for VN vets with certain AO conditions. https://www.fasttrack.va.gov/AOFastTrack/help2
I recommend working through one of the Veterans Service Organizations, VFW, Legion, DAV, etc.
Your little secret is safe with me...well, if Bruiser hasn't been checking up on our thread, that is! We are excited that things are falling into place now. We hope to make a stop in Lafayette to get some good Cajun cooking on our way to Houston. Food is about all Erags thinks about nowadays!nojokeContinued prayers for both of you. Just don't let Bruiser know it was I who gave you the whip!! Had to get rid of that thing - the whip, not Bruiser :roflblack::roflblack:
