• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, today is the big day...

 lots of prayers for both of you. hope Ed handles the chemo well. i've done the caregiver thing & you need to take care of yourself, too. lots of people praying & you can't get too many of those.

Yep, we've been in caregiver mode before...I used to always warn caregivers about the very real risk of burnout/poor health in themselves. I'm probably making the very same mistakes I'd warn them about (too little food/sleep/exercise/all of the above)...if only you men weren't so :cus: wimpy when you are sick. nojoke Sometimes I just want to slap Ed and say "suck it up...you are going to do _______________!" (JK, Erags, if you are reading this. LMAO) Let me see now, where is that whip?

I did the caregiver duty when BB was ill with Wegners and when she had her transplant. It can be very draining physically and mentally. You do things you would never do otherwise. I won't go any further here, not my thread. Hey Doc, did you find that whip???

Tomorrow should be a GREAT day for Erags...

We are hopeful :pray::pray: that Erags is finally going to be sprung from the hospital Monday after he has his chemo port put in by the surgeon. They are supposed to work him into one of the surgeon's schedules and then we can GO HOME!:yes::yes: Hooray! We're not sure what the chemo schedule will be but we are planning on attending Lamont's BBQ:bbq:(no chicken, please). We could be in the MINI instead of on the :spyder2:, but...it would be fun to take the MINI on the Tail of the Dragon! :yikes::yikes::yikes: See you guys in Sept. :ohyea:

Mini on the Dragon

Please give Ed our best and we will keep up the prayers. Thought you would find this short U-tube video interesting. [TABLE="class: ts, width: 512"]

Thanks for the video...that one was even the right color, but not a convertible like we have. I've seen some other videos of MINIS on the Tail of the Dragon...the MINI Club was just up there and a whole bunch of them rode the Dragon as a group. Ed's been on the Dragon on the :spyder2:...now it's time to take Lulu for a spin in the Smokies! :yikes::yikes:

Bad news...we are STILL in the hospital!

We are stuck in the hospital...MediPort wasn't put in today due to a snafu in the surgeon's schedule. We have been promised it will be done tomorrow morning, then we should be able to go home. :ohyea: Happy Anniversary to us!

Best of luck tomorrow.......hope ya'll can go home then. Prayers up from Texas:pray:. Try to get him to eat properly........that can really help!

Best of luck ...I know you both are going to be fine, after this scare...You showed my wife and I your scrapbook of travels, when we met you in Durango.......Soon as your hubby is back on his game, and next time we are in the same town,I want to see part 2...Hang in there,BOTh of you!!!!...There are a lot of prayers being said...

Thanks, again, to all of you for your prayers and support. If Erags doesn't get his Mediport in the morning, I swear I am going to pull out my whip...if you hear of a doctor in Pensacola getting locked up for whipping another doctor, you can say "Man, I know who that is! I didn't think she would really do it." We better be on our way out of here soon...we're both going stir crazy.

Erags can't even take his mini Spyder for a ride since I took it home so the grandson didn't sneak off with it. It kept ending up in his pocket some how. Everyone on here knows how addicting Spyders can be...Ayden was bitten early by the Spyder bug!

Hijack... :opps:
You guys have a MINI too???
Put the spurs to those Doctors and get him sprung from the hospital!

Not just any old MINI, Bob...a 2011 MINI convertible with eyelashes and GloRyders (first set of MINI GloRyders made)! :2thumbs: Poor Lulu has to stay home a lot since we take the :spyder2: out most of the time! Cheryl with Mini.JPG

This picture is from one of our Patriot Guard missions when it was raining and I had another appointment to go to afterwards. One of the guys had a fake mustache we were playing around with...thought it would be funny to get a picture of me and Lulu.

We are waiting for surgery to put port in, then we are hopefully going home. Erags has lost 20 lbs in the past 2 weeks...he's tired of not being fed. I'm feeling guilty since the nurse brought me Cheerios and coffee and he's starving again until after port is put in.

Teddy & I are keeping you both in our prayers

:banghead:I know its frustrating, but please, don't get thrown in jail:lecturef_smilie: Ed would be lost without you:gaah:

We are FINALLY home!

We FINALLY made it home from the hospital, at least for the time being. Hooray! Hooray!:yes: :2excited:Ed's Mediport was put in around 1 today and we were discharged home around 4:00. The oncologist wants us to see doctors at MD Anderson, so we will be headed there, but not for a week or two. Hospital #3 coming up...Cheyenne WY to Pensacola FL to Houston TX. We will most likely take our MINI so I don't get stuck without transportation, and stay in a local hotel for a few days. We don't anticipate being in Houston more than a 2-3 days, mainly to discuss options with chemo/immunotherapy. If a bone marrow or stem cell transplant is recommended once remission is obtained, we will be out there for a considerably longer period of time, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Looks like the only:spyder2: Erags will be driving will be the remote control yellow :spyder2: or the Hot Wheels red :spyder2:...we'll both be in full-blown :spyder2: withdrawal pretty soon. :yikes::yikes: I don't think the doctors will know what to do for THAT!:helpsmilie::gaah: :pray::pray: I might have to start paying more attention to Arntufun's videos and get my M endorsement...can you picture Erags in the :cus: seat?! Here are a few pictures from our last few days on the trip, as well as one of Erags today with our 6 month old grandson. All your prayers must be working...look how good Erags looks! The Spyder picture is Dick Lennox ryding our :spyder2: home from the Cheyenne hospital to the Air Force base for us. The boot is one that was in front of the Wyoming State Museum. The moon rise by the bridge was taken in the RV park along the river in N. Little Rock AR. 1-Dick Lennox 2161.jpg1-IMG_2147.jpg1-No. Little Rock 2170.jpg1-IMG_2175.jpg This year's abbreviated trip ended up being slightly less miles than last year's summer trip (and WAY less miles than we anticipated). We had a few more vehicles contributing to our mileage tally, though...the Class A toyhauler (4294), the :spyder2: (4260), my father-in-law's car, Dick Lennox' car, a rental car in Albuquerque, a deputy sheriff's car outside Amarillo...total mileage 10834. During our trip, we ended up attending a black-tie wedding in AL (on the :spyder2:), winning a free set of Elkas in MO, having an AWOL license plate (OK) and a ruptured coolant tank (TX) on our :spyder2: (resulting in the:spyder2: being out of commission for six days in Albuquerque), two :spyder2: events (Spyderfest and BRP Owner's Event), one train ride (Durango-Silverton), several wildfires chasing us around--and ultimately out of--Colorado, two blood transfusions for Erags, and a ton of memories. What a trip!

Glad to hear Ed is home, Keeping you both in my prayers and hope all will be well. Take care care Ed.

Ed does look good in that photo! His face is skinnier than the grandson's, though. Gotta get some food in the poor lad.
