• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We use the TeamSet Pro and love it. But occasionally we here a beep, or maybe two beeps together. THe User Guide talks about blinking lights, but nothing about beeps. I assume this happens when the set reconnects, but thought I'd ask.

Cheers,

Mike

We use the same set and I believe the beep is letting you know that it's time to recharge them.

We also use the Teamset Pro and like them very well. You will hear a single beep when you trip the vox but the listener will not hear the beep. When the vox drops out the one who trips the vox will hear a single beep but, again, the other partner will not. With my earlier Cardo Multiset, I have heard two beeps when the battery was low and at other times, it just basically quit with no warning. As yet, we have not run the batteries down in the Teamset Pro.

Thanks, I thought it might just be a signal that the VOX was operating.

On ours one beep if your the one initiating the intercom.
If a headset is on another connection such as to the GPS and one tries to start the intercom connection you will hear the two beeps.
I hear this one often, after the GPS interupts us I often try to restart the intercom connection to quickly!

cardo cut out

we like our cardo system but have problem with wind activating the intercom and cuts our music off any suggestions:ani29:

my wife wears a 3/4 helmit it seems to be hers that keeps cutting out i guess she is more exposed to wind sitting on back i have tried to put another cover on mic but still wants to cut out if windy

We've heard the beeps also, and assumed that it was when the sets either "timed out" and were powering down, or when they coming waking up for some more of our scintillating conversation...

ug - good luck with the Scala sets. I just bought a set of the G9's and while at first was happy with them, there is a lot to be desired once you start really using them IMO. The website for users is just plain horrid. Once you pair them with your phones they seem to get long-term dementia for talking between them as an intercom. I even went and cleared all the bluetooth pairing settings on them (which is supposed to clear all but their pairings between scala sets) - and no luck - they just don't talk in intercom mode anymore. Did the bump re-pairing process and still can not talk between them. It just should not be this difficult IMO.

I know people did not like the Interphone F5 sets but I am just flat out unimpressed with these. Worst $500 I've spent. :banghead:

We don't interface with our phone, only the GPS (rarely), and to chat with each other (constantly). After fighting with the BRP intercom system, and having to frequently replace the headset cord that connects to the bike, we love the Scala's. As an intercom they are great, and that's what we bought them for.

I have the G4s and when I had problems, I called tech support and my experience with them has been great.
Good luck

We just got these last week and they worked great until suddenly they didn't. We had a very frustrating ride the other night where I could hear each of us saying "hello hello hello" (along with some other choice words) -- but didn't hear any of it through the intercom.

We kept doing the bump re-pairing process because that was all I could remember while we were out on the road.... once we got home, I got the user-guide out and did the bump pairing process but noticed that we never got the blinking purple lights they mention. I finally did the "manual pairing" process and that got the steady red light that they mention in the guide. Now they're working again.

You might try doing that and see if they start working again.

Do you both ride on the same machine? My wife and I are looking into bluetooth but she in on her own spyder and I'm curious as to how well they work in this situation.

We've got the G9s and they work fine. What I found is if the phone or GPS interrupts the intercom and the intercom does not come right back, you push the Rider A button (front/side) once and here a beep, the intercom begins to work again after a few seconds. Most of the time the intercom comes right back. I've used it with both phone & GPS and the wife links her phone to her set. One thing I notice the last time we used them was I was hearing an echo on my wifes voice over the intercom. Still not sure why/how this was happening.

The Scala G9s have an extended range. There is a "flip up" antenna on each set that extends the coverage for multiple riders spread out over some distance.

The G9's are just obnoxious. We did get the purple lights with the bump pairing. Got them back working with the 2 second press on the center side button reconnecting the intercom. Intercom between two bikes is great when it works. If a phone call comes in on a paired set it struggles to re-connect the intercom. Forget using VOX commands nor even the buttons. the only way these two pair back to intercom is to shut one down and start them back up. Voice commands to the phone will result in it just playing music regardless what command you use even trying to answer it. Like a bad friggin comedy.

Pathetic junk I will never recommend to anyone.

They got you covered on the beeps.

RE: bad performance with the G-9's. I am waiting until they get the bugs worked out. I ordered a set of 4's when they first came out and had problems. I sent them back and am still using the 2's. Getting ready to by a set of 4's at a bargain price. Have friends that use them and they like them a lot.
