Well I finally did it. broke down and traded the 08 gs/rs for a 2011 RT & 622 Trailer. Now have to save $$$for Mods. BTW Has anyone had the feeling that the spyder is fishtailing while going down the road? If so would appreciate your comments.
Not the same, does it with or without the trailer. After putting better than 19000 on the gs/rs i know that feeling this is almost like the rocking of a boat. not complaining just wondering. weered feeling when riding. even when not griping the handlebars just resting my hands over them.:yikes::gaah:Could get seasick with this.:roflblack:The easy way to describe it IS , The tail wagging the dog, One wheel pushing two wheels.
Sometimes the rear tire will fall off the crown of the road and give that feeling, You'll get used to it just don't put the death grip on the bars'
ease up and go with the flow.
Sorry can't make it have a wedding to go to. son is getting married.Congratulations" on the new bike. Sorry about the rocking feeling. I hope to see you guys at the 3rd annual picnic.
HELLO YOURSELF. I look on this site alot. Just don't log on. Thanks for the info. just wanted to be sure it was me & not the RT.Hello BMW: long time no hear. When I went from the 2008 GS to the 2010 RTS--I experienced the same kind of feeling. I posted about it long, long, ago.
The RTS has a "lighter" feel to it and it takes a couple hundred miles to get used to it. Overcontrolling was an issue for me--and I had 22K miles on the GS. Make sure your tire pressures are ok, and I run my shock setting on 4.
If you pull the trailer--make sure you put the bike in trailer towing mode.
Let us know what transpires, and :congrats: on the new ryde.
Am taking it in tomarrow. thank you for the input. I hoped you would chime in.Check the pressure in your rear airbag. If it continues, see your dealer. Have them check that the steering sensors are zeroed. What you are describing is not normal, although the RT will "wallow" a lot more than your GS did, as it is taller and heavier. Setiing up the front spring preload can help that, if necessary.
