There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Cost of 3,000 and 6,000 inspection

I will go in for my 600 mile inspection next week, but was wondering what dealers charge for the 3K and 6K inspections. I know prices vary with areas, but I will get a general idea of what is coming....

It may require that the wife gets a job on the second shift at the sawmill.....

Chris has given you some solid numbers, but be aware that from dealer to dealer I have seen 25% or more variance for the same mileage maintenance so shopping around a bit seems like a good idea

I Purchased the pit pass whn I bought my 2010 RT so all scheduled is paid for. the 6k check was $914. I dont remember what the 3k cost was.

We had a 2008 SE5 before our 2010 RT. My total preventive maintenance cost was $557 in 43,000 miles. I change my own oil and check things that can be seen. Before the SE5 was resold by the dealer the tech checked the valves and they were all within tolerance. I will care for the RT the same way. I am probably one in a few riders that does this, but I have read too many horror stories about incompetent techs really screwing up a good running Spyder. I have also heard of dealers that will change your oil, park the bike, charge you for all the things they should, but don't do, and work on other Spyders, making more money. BRP seems to have created an ownership paranoia about "warranty" and has required a maintenance overkill on the Spyders. Am I suggesting anyone else do as I do? Not at all, just sharing my Spyder experiences.
We now have over 7500 miles on the RT and it runs like sewing machine...just hums down the highway.

Thanks for your inputs. Several Spyders I know have bragged on this dealer and have their work done there...they have a Spyder specialists (shop foreman) who only works on Spyders (but is training a second pretty good wrench). I will keep my eye on them, but feel pretty good about it. I was just wondering about pricing...I know dealer prices vary... Thanks.

:agree: Wright there with you Dudley !

Bob, I really have not been riding it that much...had it a month and only have 850 on it. I did not ride it on a long Texas Trike Reunion ride two weeks ago as I needed my CB and rode my Wing, on a 250 ride during the reunion. My BRP CB is poor at best. I got my 600 today and they will call BRP to replace the CB transceiver and antenna. We will see how it goes then. Otherwise all is working well.

I have to agree with you. I always do my own maintenance on all my vehicles. I found out that all you have to do is keep all receipts for which ever vehicle you are working on with mileage and what oils were used. Never had a problem with any dealer that had to repair something that needed factory repairs
