• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Erik Buell Spyder?

In a recent Motorcycle Sport and Leisure magazine Erik Buell is interviewed. He has a great reletionship with BRP because of the Rotax motor that he has used in the Buells and of which he is very fond.

When discussing BRP he says, "it's a great company by the way, both Bombardier and it's Rotax division. Bombardier has some really fine people. I love working with them - they're a very innovative company". He is discussing a potential bike with BRP and when asked if he may be building a bike for Can-Am he responds, "I can't talk about that".

Imagine what he could do with a Spyder!! Perhaps an 1125R??

I have to admit it does get your imagination going. We'll have to stay tuned and what if anything develops.

A naked, or partially naked, Spyder would be really cool to see. I am actually hoping they would do something with the Spyder line, and not start building a 2 wheeler instead. While the 2 wheeler would be cool as well, I don't see any way to fix my knees to the point I could ride it. :(

Still, BRP has to look at the corporate bottom line, my knees aren't what they used to be either but I'm not sure that is going to affect any decision BRP my make.

You have to admit. Bringing out a new, improved, in house version of the Buell would be awesome too!

:agree: totally. This could open up yet another market for BRP, and that is what they need to look at. A few individuals like us don't make a difference, but an entire demographic does.

Think of a Can Am Rotex powered dirt bike. That is where the real Can Am history lies. BRP has everything covered except 2 wheel dirt and that's a big market.

Very good point there, and that would be a very interesting product to see as well.

Those were the days! I had the white tank (like in the picture), low pipe 250cc and my brother had the 175. Not a lot of difference between them except that the 250 blew the 175 away.
