Hope I'm not done riding my Spyder for the year?!

The only time when I do not ride is when the salt/brine goes down on the roads, after the first rain to wash it off I am back out no matter how cold it is.

It's not that I get too cold to ride, but when I have to keep the face shield of my helmet down, and I have to wear all the gear (including something over or under my jeans, which is normally all I wear on my lower body), the ride itself is just not as much fun. I know it is risky, but I live for the days when I can ride with a half helmet, no jacket, jeans, tennis shoes, and maybe fingerless gloves. When I am all bundled up, I start to think that maybe I should have just taken one of my cars instead. But maybe that's just me?

I understand if you don't want to bundle up even a little well, there you are. I hope your Fall is long with lots of warm days and fair breezes.

Tucked my Spyder F3L away for the winter. Battery is dead and will put in a new one in spring. OEM Battery lasted 5 years, so not an issue. I have a couple other bikes to ride, so not a problem that the Spyder is tucked away. And that way my RAV4 can reside in the garage for the winter.

I am riding still in Northern MN, like previously stated we snowmobilers ride in 20-30 below zero ALL DAY with warm gear - so I will keep riding as long as there's NO snow, ICE, or SALT on the road. Tomorrow I will ride in to a meeting before sunrise; it's supposed to be above freezing, so no snowmobile bibs or Balaclava, but I will be wearing my snowmobile closed face helmet, coat, and gloves. Heated gear adds one more layer of technology. I'm not yet ready to deal with - keeping it simple - I just dress in layers of quality cold weather gear.

Year round riding here in Northern California. As long as you don't mind a little rain, mist, and fog. And that's year round. We have some nice Sunny days as well, but it is wet here.
September & October are the nicest months of the year.
I commuted on 2 wheelers for 17 years up here. As the saying goes, "if you don't ride in the rain, you don't Ride!"

I have not ridden my Spyder for almost 2 weeks now. I will decide in November when to put it up.

Well, this is the last weekend (Saturday) before the time change and sunset starts before 6pm. I usually ride anytime it is sunny and temps are 40+. But once the sun goes down too early, my longer rides are limited, altho a 200 mile day is still possible.

Here in NC, the next 2 months have a lot of charity toy runs. A lot of them are held rain or shine. One that I like to go on takes the toys and money to a children's home. One year that had very nice temps (in the 70's on the first Sunday in Dec.) had over 2000 bikes signed up when checked and still more in line. The good thing is that the ride is police escorted.

One of the best things about being a 3-Wheel Instructor are the classes in the Snow!! In WA State, we teach students how to drift!! WA State says it's an evasive maneuver, as is "Flying a Side-Car"... Love it!!!
