There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Anyone tried "Speed Bleeders" brake bleeders?

OK. Just got off the phone with SpeedBleeders.
They are exchanging my order of SB8 125L for SB6 125L.
I hope the clutch bleeder is the same as the brake cylinder bleeders.

Great customer service.

So, what's the correct size for the ABS system on the GS' and ST's?

I just ordered them for my :spyder2:. They sent the wrong size (SD8125L) and are now in the process of sending me the 6mm size. The gal there was flummoxed about this, but she was happy to fix it right away.

This company is fantastic. I too got the wrong size (M8) back in December. Went to install them today and realized they wouldn't fit.
One phone call and the correct size (M6) are on the way. They are even including return postage for the wrong ones.
Apparently BRP changed the bleeder size from 8mm to 6mm in 2013 and Speed Bleeder was not aware of it.
They even went so far as to order a stock BRP bleeder screw and measure it to verify the correct size.

I ordered from Speed Bleeder by phone months ago and the same thing happened. They sent a set of 6 mm right away at no charge. I told them to take note that the 8 mm ones are too large. They said they would. I guess the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at SB.

Spyders 2008 - 2012 are SB8125L - M8 - 1.25 - 32.54 and 2013 to 2019 are SB6100 - M6 - 1.0 - 28.80. According to the chart.

You're gona love the speed bleeders. They make a somewhat easy job a brainless event.

I change my brake fluid every spring and it just takes minutes now to do it. It's effortless.

And you don't have to yell...Honey come here and press the brake pedal for me, but only when I tell you.

I ordered a set, but if I can find them I'll check which size I got. It was probably a year ago. I was going to replace the brake fluid soon during this lockdown.

Never used Speed Bleeders on either of the RTs but I've had them on just about everything else I've owned (except for the current leased Honda CR-V). If you want to work on the brakes or clutch and you don't have someone else to assist, this is the only way to go.

There's quite a bit of discussion about them & their use here already - most of it strongly supportive! A basic search on 'Speed; + bleeders' with the 'Search Titles Only' box ticked shows quite a few pages of information. ;)

Mazo, you mean you have really missed all the good discussions about them on here over the past few years? I can hardly believe it!!!! :dontknow:

Here's what I recently posted about doing a brake flush. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums...uch-brake-fluid-is-needed-to-flush-the-system. In post number 12 I say,

Got the flushing completed today. First off I gotta say Speed Bleeders are the cat's meow! They make the bleeding process almost fool proof!

There are several other positive comments regarding Speed Bleeders in the preceding posts. Get them! You won't go wrong!

Look...the speed bleeders are God's gift to the DIY brake flush....there is no way to do it without someone helping unless you have speed bleeders and installing these is no issue whatsoever. These allow you to do the flush with no worries about getting air into the lines. Do it!! If your cheap....just buy one bleeder and move it around each caliper...but these are about 7$ so its 21$ plus I thinks 5-6 $ shipping.
