• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone tried "Speed Bleeders" brake bleeders?

Never tried them, but I would say the 7mm; altho that may also depend on the brakes your model has. Brembo may have bigger threads, I never looked. :dontknow:

What Speed Bleeder part numbers are required for Spyders?

I am interested in purchasing speedbleeders for changing the brake fluid on a 2016 RTL. Can anyone tell me what size/sizes I need to get?

Thanks in advance.

I have looked into this question and the answer is SD8125L for my 2014 RTS. These are stainless steel. Same # front and back. I haven't put them in (nor ordered them) but I've had them on other motorcycles and they worked perfect for brake bleeding. I draw out the old fluid from the reservoir, fill with new, and proceed to bleed, keeping the reservoir full. Of course, this doesn't cycle the ABS, but you can do that with a hard stop on a loose surface.

Good luck,

Lew L

Thanks Lew L. This is exactly the information that I needed.

But I am wondering if the number should not be SB8125L? I have searched and could not find an SD8125L. Do you remember where you purchased yours?

Whenever I order Speed Bleeders, I do it by phone, that way, I get the correct fitment for the vehicle. I tell folks that Speed Bleeders make the job stupid easy.

I also checked by phone and STILL got the wrong thread size. Very, very frustrating. The SB8125 is the wrong size for my 2014 :spyder2: :banghead: :cus: :cus: :gaah:

I'm surprised they are still making that mistake. When I received the 8 mm threads and told them it should have been 6 mm, they said their reference was BRP's parts lists. Hmmm. After my fiasco, you'd think Speed Bleeder would have corrected their records.
If you haven't already called to get the correct bleeders, do so and tell to change their records. The good news is, they send another set no charge and don't want the original shipment back.

I have a 2015 RTSE6.
I'm looking for the part numbers for speed bleeders for the front and rear. I called the company and was told they don't have a specific part for the Spyder. That I needed to remove and measure the original bleed screws on my bike, and they could match them. Bike is still in winter storage.
Thank you in advance.

I just ordered them for my :spyder2:. They sent the wrong size (SD8125L) and are now in the process of sending me the 6mm size. The gal there was flummoxed about this, but she was happy to fix it right away.
