• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DPS failure

Since I’m bombing BPR regarding F3 Clutch Assist on the F3 forum I thought I’d throw out the question of how many 2011 RTs have had their DPS replaced. I also have, the wife has, a 2011 DPS replaced this spring with a little over 11,000 miles. While on the phone with a dealers parts manager last week I asked him the same question. He under his breath admitted several, which leads me to wonder if it is another weak link in BRP armor. It cost me a little over $1900.00. I would of done it myself but don't have BUDS. I knew early in the 2011 run the DPS were failing but was assured by my dealer my wasn’t on the recall.

If it was a recall you could check your vin # on the BRP sight, if it was simply a campaign, :dontknow: maybe try another dealer to verify the information, however they may need to access the part itself & charge you labor for doing so :dontknow:(try to stay with the service manager, makeing sure they don't just call other dealer just to ask & tell you the same:lecturef_smilie:)
just a thought

The DPS recall largely affected the 2008 to 2010 bikes. They were already being replaced before the 2011s were introduced...

Sometimes: stuff just breaks. :dontknow:

Sorry to hear that you're having troubles...

Sorry you had this Failure .... you probably won't be happy with this, but if you could have done the work your-self ....a BUDS reset might not have been necessary ( BRP lists almost any work done on any Spyder requires a BUDS re-set :banghead:, I have found this NOT TO BE TRUE ) ..... but if it did, most dealers will do the BUDS re-set for a small charge ....if not then they Su*k :yikes: .... I'm not impressed with your dealer and the way they are treating you .....jmho ....... Mike
