• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sleet pelting the house

Oh yes. The same thing happened in the greater San Antonio are late last night - thunder, impressive lightning flashes, heavy rain and hail, mostly pea-sized thankfully. What a show!

I’m preparing today

I’m out getting the homestead ready for tonight’s ice storm that they are calling for.:yikes:

RapidSpyder, is that a different Rapid City? This was in my wx history "Posted: Apr 13, 2018 7:40 AM CDT Courtesy: SD DOT - Rapid City, SD South Dakota officials closed Interstate 90 from Murdo to Mitchell at 2:30 p.m. I-90 is now closed from Rapid City to Mitchell, both east and westbound."

Or has it already re-opened as of Apr 14th, It's still wicked here in Southern MN.

Winter has not left here either, we had sleet hitting the windows also. The temps are in the 30's it is the middle of April. No riding for me today. I have 7 more days to wait.

My spyder is still in hibernation due the weather.

I know that stretch of road well. We used to stay at the Super 8 in Murdo, visit the auto museum, and make a day trip to the badlands. It took just minutes to get there from Murdo--because of the time zone change. :roflblack::roflblack:

I am

15 miles north of Mpls/St Paul and we have probably got close to a foot so far. Good day to stay in sweats . Leo's is having their open house today. They may sell more snowmobiles than bikes.

Ya gotta love spring in Minnesota this year. :banghead:

40 south of Minneapolis, and we got this

only got about 8 inches here and half of that is gone already. think we were the west end of the storm. Spearfish only got about three inches. sunny day today, was really nice up in Deadwood.

Same crap here. Pounded the house loud enough to wake us up last night. Rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain....we're gettin' it all this weekend. Weather guessers are saying 3-6" of snow for tomorrow....Not a 50* day in sight til at least next weekend. Somebody pissed in Mother Nature's Wheaties, and she's gettin' even.:gaah:

Never Doubt the Ground Hog...

Looks like Wisconsin is Ground Zero for this blizzard. Hardly any snow all winter and now this. Pretty much "snowed in" both Saturday and Sunday. Most churches have cancelled services and most retail is closed.
Monday morning should be interesting when we all go back to work.

Here's the irony, on Friday I fired up the Spyder from her Winter Hibernation anticipating a ride in the next few days. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
