• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Toyhauler

I need help putting a value on a Toyhauler. I have my F3 for sale and I have an offer that includes this Toyhauler as partial trade. I don't need it so I'd probably sell it. I don't know what it is worth as I have no experience. It is a 26 Ft Overland and I can't find information on the Internet. In my opinion it might be worth 6500. Here it is. https://cedarrapids.craigslist.org/mcy/5999390813.html

thanks

Wow, if I had a truck to pull that, it would be mine for something between 10k and 6.5.
That looks like good value to me. I could use it for many things, great trailer.
I would think that u will not own it for long.

Before you do ANYTHING, get an appraisal on it from a local dealer, or at least someone who sells similar vehicles. :sour:

If you do decide to accept it as a partial trade & aren't really interested in using/keeping it yourself, then unless you want to risk maybe buying into a world of difficulties & time-wasters, you really want to have someone ready to take it off your hands for cash right away, & that's where getting it appraised by a professional or at least a retail outlet comes in handy. With any luck, you can just hand it straight over & pick up your cash. If you can't do that, be prepared for a long wait before you see any $$ for it - after all, if it's worth that or more & was easy to sell, then why hasn't the previous owner sold it already & so have the cash on hand to buy your Spyder outright?? :dontknow:

Maybe you'd be better off to say 'when you've sold the toyhauler & have the $$ in hand, come see me about buying my Spyder - first in with the full amount in cash gets the F3!' And who knows, they might even end up selling it for more than they actually need to buy your F3, in which case that's their good luck..... or not!! Sure, in this case any profit is rightly theirs, but equally any risk is theirs, not yours, which is exactly as it should be!! But putting it bluntly, it's the only way to be certain that you wont be left out of pocket &/or sitting on a lemon that you can't shift!!

I can't find any Overland Toy Haulers for sale to compare. I think they aren't made any longer. I will probably pass because I'm not desperate to get rid of my Spyder. It is already 12 years old. He has a vintage Harley he wants to throw in the deal as well. Most likely I will pass unless someone here knows it is worth 10 grand or more. I will only trade if I can come out ahead.

Again, if the Harley & the Toyhauler are really worth what he says, then it probably shouldn't be too hard for him to convert them to cash & come buy your Spyder with cash in hand - why can 't he do that?? Do you really want or need to swap one thing for sale (which btw, you know EVERYTHING about & so can be expected to sell fairly easily) for 2 things to sell that you've got no or little idea about. If there's no dealer around for you to check with, that means there's no dealer for you to hand it off to - so alarm bells should be ringing about now!! You REALLY don't want to take on the Toyhauler as it is do you?? But cash would work for you, wouldn't it??!? :dontknow:

I think this one's a no- brainer!

I don't think it's worth $10k, at all. It looks well used; how much would it cost to reupholster? The TV is missing. How old are the tires? I've seen some in better condition for around $10k.

I would definitely let him sell his stuff on his own and then come back and buy the Spyder. This has the makings of a mess with titles, possible liens.
