Just got the bike out of the shop - nice ride home. Shop replaced the DESS Module. This makes the 4th module in the bike! I have no faith in the bike - and warranty period close to ending.

I would think that since they have documentation that there is a problem, they would cover any issues with this in the future.Just got the bike out of the shop - nice ride home. The odds of getting four bad modules in a row would seem to be long. Is the dealer doing the fix right?

Perhaps you might want to PM Mike (BLUEKNIGHT911), and see what his experience has been...
He and Dee have the latest part numbers, and have been through this already.
What is the part number they installed......... Mike :thumbup:Dealer is under the direction of factory folks --- they are the ones that said to change the module. Dealer also said not to be worried about end of warranty on this issue - per factory.

Don, to the best of my knowledge the above part # is the last one I have heard of that is being used .... I have it in my 2014 for about 10,000 miles and so far no more Dess failures ....... good luck...... Mike :thumbup:Don,
The part number used is 710004916
Thanks

Bob, I started the DESS KEY CODE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! Thread, with the part # that my dealership installed( under warranty) and they also replaced switch( under warranty). Dess module part # that I have is 710004190, and it has 1 year and 5 months since I have the dess error. Read post # 5 & 6 on this thread that I posted. DeannaView attachment 142028
Mike and Dee have both listed the latest (and hopefully, the best!) part number.
