• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi. Good morning from the other side of the Atlantic.

I'm looking for some risers for my rt 2011 ltd to maintain my correct position on and
Approach the handlebar a few inches towards to me.

I've read something about "old bones" but I can't find more information.

Do you remember something about that?

As allways, thanks in advance for your help.

OLD BONES ??????

:roflblack:.....He means " Dog Bone ", as in dog bone style risers. A member here put some on an RT ( maybe an ST ) and posted pics and info on how it was done ,maybe someone remembers ????? ....... M

With my back bones pain my mind had a little lapsus! :opps::opps:
Thanks for your help.
Then bad not old bones. Or maybe both in my case? :roflblack:

Too much earlier in the morning. At the end I understood "dog".
Not bad neither old.

I've to check my medication. :roflblack:

I put some dog bone risers on both of our spyders. Ours are GS and RS models. They were the 4 inch ones. Mine being a standard I had to modify it for the clutch reservoir.

Wish there were risers for rt but I think the only option is the fancy adjustable $400 new handlebars
Any other suggestions?

I love R&R put another dime in the jukebox baby!

:agree: None for RTs: the Tri-Axial Bars are the only choice, if you want to custom-tailor the bars to your needs.

But you already knew this...

Hey Mike
The only thread that I can find Spyderfish posting about installing Custom Dynamics handlebar risers is on his 2013 STS. No mention of Rt Handlebar riser install.
Not trying to stir the pot ,I am curious because I have never seen handlebar risers installed on an RT before. Now I have seen Rt handlebars installed on an ST before.

HOWEVER

If you had dug into ALL the info I posted you would have solved this riddle ..... But it requires digging - since you are not doing this - why bother ?????........ The OP is, so I think my info gives Him a better start than what other posters have told Him. ........ I checked some video's and the handle-bar ends looked the same to me, and there is info about cutting the old style also .......M

Welp
1st you cut the neck of the bike with a Sawzall.
Then change the rake by adding unobtainium to the gap caused by cutting.

Oh by the way you have to remove the entire front end off and install a 1969 Honda Dream 305 triple tree before beginning this project.
There may be a fee to dispose of this at your local waste place.
Then if you get this far you no longer require my assistance.

Cool Hand Luke!
Wat we have heeah iz a failyuh to communicate!
