• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

this was just on pitbull power sports page

[QUOTautif yoj knew whatnyou were talking abou spell170715]It's listed as lower on the F3 base only. Not sure about your second sentence. Perhaps hooked on phonics would help your next post.[/QUOTE]

Geez auto spell.

Perhaps If you knew the facts you wouldn't get so defensive

Correct me if I am wrong, but does this mean the 2017 F3L will come with the top case as part of the standard package (not am additional option)?

The 2017 F3L seem like the way to go......

Not defensive at all but thanks for being concerned for my feelings. The F3T and F3L have not been de-rated according to CanAm's website. Still 115. Those are "the facts." The new listed rating for the F3 base makes no sense but maybe someone will find out what's different. And, since this thread was started to comment on the new top case on the F3L, and hence the thread is about a 2017 F3L, then "the facts" are as I stated. The HP has not changed.

That is correct, it comes with it. However, it might not be the way to go for someone wanting all the other options or someone who doesn't like all the chrome that comes with the limited... I personally wouldn't go Limited as I want a manual shift machine.

So they lowered the HP on the base F3, added the top case as standard on the F3L?

Maybe they're just trying to differentiate the four F3 models from each other. :dontknow:

turning an F3 into an RT

Why buy an F3 and then make it into an RT? I really don't see the point in all that!

The F3 and RT, especially if you've owned both, are quite different machines. So, let's say there are things about the RT which don't particularly work for you, and you find the F3 has some, um, endearing characteristics, so much so that one just happens to worm its way under your garage door.

So far, so good, right? But you want more wind protection and more luggage carrying potential since you want more than just a Sunday afternoon ride. Adding saddlebags and a top box gets you there, with best of both worlds. Pretty simple, really.

:D If it were only that simple...

The RT has a saddle on it, that the F3 rider and passenger can only dream about.
It's not just about carrying capacity: comfort has to also be included in the equation.
Now; if you don't ever carry a passenger: that changes things!

I'll see your RT saddle and raise you one.

Well it's a Beauty! :D
Okay: if you've got one of those hiding under your hiney; it becomes all about the storage capacity!

Changed the rear sprocket to a smaller size. Less low end but more top end if I understand correctly.

Exactly what I wanted for my 2016 F3T - wonder if BRP will offer any change-over kits. This has been discussed on other threads over the year, without any resolve. Kinda sad (for me anyhow), as the European F3T & F3L models came equipped with the 79tooth sprocket.

Very well put

Thank you for a well thought out response.

That's exactly what I'm thinking- all these guys are going wild to get a F3 so they have a sporty looking bike and what do they do they put bags on it and if that's not enough they put a truck on the damn thing Heloo . . . . ..

I didn't buy a F3 for it's looks at all. In fact, I think the RT is better looking. I bought it because, for me, it's so much more comfortable to ride. That said, I'm not sure why it has to be a team F3 vs. team RT thing like we're some Twilight watching tweens here. Buy, accessorize, and ride what fits you best. Ones person's choice of what fits their needs best isn't an attack on someone else's. They make chocolate and vanilla. Eat what you like and nevermind what the other guy is eating....
