I did the BRP Xenon Headlight COnversion and the RIVCO Handle Bar Riser Kit on my 2012 Spyder RS-S, and I was able to get the trike blown apart after skinning, and get it back together. You have to stretch the cable out, and the headlight job demanded a frunk removal and console removal too. Its really not that bad. The instructions they sent are spot on, the even explain the harnesses, and I learned a TON about my trike today.
The new Handle bars are so much better. I left the bars wider with the kit, you can trim it to length, but I wanted to bring the bar back and have a longer bar, mission accomplished, I can ride it with my bum shoulder all day now, and now leaning on the bar anymore.
I also ordered the Speed Bleeders for all 4 ports.

I rode my 2018 RTL today for the first time this year!! Our temps in the Omaha area reached 74 degrees - however very, very windy??? but it felt good to get out and feel the air...

Today I put the first scratch in my 2019 RTL. Pulling into my shed, standing on the footboards so I could look over the windshield and get the front really close to the back shed wall. Got close to the wall, right foot missed the brake pedal (note to self, get the bigger pedal!). Hit the wall at about 1 mph. About a 2" long scratch in the "beak" of the frunk. NOW I have a 2X4 on the floor so the bike will stop before it hits the wall! Just ordered touch up point from ScratchesHappen.
Put a BRA over it and call it good.

Fought and fought with the foam grips until they wiped me out. I took the end cap off, used the hand sanitizer liberally, but was unable to get the grip over the end of the hand grip to where i would be able to twist and turn it to get it on.

I am not a mechanic. When I have a tool in my hand, 911 needs to be on Standby.
I named my Spyder RS-S today, her name is "Charlotte", and the car port? Yep you guessed it, Charlotte's Web...the Triumph is now Wilbur....
I also tested my Air Hawk Pro Hand Held COmpressor I picked up at Ace Hardware (it is also.....Available at Walmart I am told).
It gives me EXACT 17 pound front tire fills. I can do 15, but I do 17 as unscrewing the stem filler can cause a pound or two of pressure loss. I also put in the highest weight as I will be doing passenger riding too.....rear tire is a perfect 30 pound fill.
Get this tool, its really handy for bikes and trikes, and bicycles too...not so much on truck tires. I did my economy car tires today too. It auto shuts down when it reaches your set pressure. I love this tool.

Finished installing my upgrade lights. Put in LED 360° headlights and fog lights, as well as those fancy progressive front fender turn signals. Headlights are 9005 form factor, specs are 6000K color, 70W/7000LM, DC 12V. Fog lights are H9 form factor, with the same specs. They are extremely bright.

Kinda nekkid. Best way to get that left fog lamp cover. To all those that accomplished this without taking the frunk off; I salute you! This is a great time to clean the radiators.
Lighting Install (2).jpg
Back side of frunk. 2 person job to remove and install. I had the comms cable on one grommet (1 USB and 1 3.5mm jack) and a battery tender that didn't get removed. Had to expedite the removal on the fly. Poke the grommet out with a screwdriver and remove the battery tender harness before starting.
Lighting Install (3).jpg
There's that booger, left fog light cover. It was hard to remove and install even with the frunk on the ground. The air intake pipe gets in the way, took a fair bit of wiggling to get it past the bulb base both in and out. A little silicone grease makes getting the air hose installed much easier.

Here's my lifting setup. Cheapo Harbor Freight jack, some small jack stands, and a ramp for the rear. Solid as a rock. The jack doesn't have an easy lower feature, but if you are familiar with floor jacks it isn't a problem. Just have to remember to unlock the safety before lowering. It's so similar to a normal floor jack I forgot a couple of times.

Fixed the broken mirror top plastic cover. One of the tabs broke a few weeks ago and the top satin/ chrome piece was loose. The 2 unbroken tabs has some flex in them but the broken one didn't. After gluing the tab back together and giving it a 24 hr cure, I cut away the little, tiny gusset ( plastic) and now the tab flexes just a bit like the 2 others. Hope it all works and stays together as this silly piece of plastic costs $104. Looked at three suppliers and they were the same price. After seeing that ridiculous price---- I had to find a way to fix it.
